I'm Not A Master, I'm A Director (Creating Fate Movie In Nasuverse)

Chapter 111: Chapter 113: Shinji has reached his limit.

"Sir Matou did it on purpose, of course."

As Tohsaka Rin's combo rendered Medea incapable of fighting without Kuzuki's assistance, Alice responded to Aoko's comment.

"Sir Matou has always wanted to break the traditional mindset of magus. He believes that it's because the magic world keeps looking back that it can't move forward."

"So, Sir Matou hopes to overturn the current old and decaying atmosphere of the magic world. He wants to reinvigorate the glory of magecraft by researching ancient heroes and inventing magecraft more suitable for the modern environment."

Alice clenched her fists, her cheeks flushed with excitement.

"Uh..."

Hearing Alice suddenly blurt out such a long speech, Aoko was taken aback.

Though Alice wasn't the type to remain silent, she wasn't exactly talkative either.

Now, she was delivering an extensive monologue about Shinji's seemingly deceptive ideology, which made Aoko shiver.

Well, from Alice's perspective...

Who is Matou Shinji?

A master magus, an expert in magical theory, a great practitioner of magecraft, a powerful summoner of spirits, a genius who knows countless ancient magecraft, and a handsome director passionate about the entertainment industry.

Such a persona represents youth, wealth, charm, and success in his career, making him attractive to women of all ages.

Alice might not be into looks, but she undoubtedly admires his talent.

However...

'I feel like Alice is getting deeper into this. Is that okay?'

Although this wasn't a rational feeling, Aoko thought it best to keep a low profile until Alice's excitement subsided.

'Thanks to her maxed-out interest in the TV series, she should calm down soon... maybe.'

Aoko hesitated, unsure if her friend would calm down or become even more excited after watching the show.

◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆

While the worried Aoko fretted over her friend, the plot on the screen advanced to a new stage.

Rin's combo didn't manage to defeat Caster.

The difference in martial skills between Shirou and Kuzuki gave the teacher a chance to protect his Servant.

A near-successful plan turned on its head in an instant: Caster wasn't killed, and Kuzuki was perfectly reinforced.

As the antagonists' opponents, the male protagonist Shirou is already out of breath due to continuous use of his magecraft, and the heroine Rin had depleted all her gemstones.

Though neither of them was injured, they were both out of energy and powerless.

At this moment, Caster's control over Saber was almost complete; just one more step, and Saber would become her ally.

Just when defeat seemed inevitable, the battle turned once more.

"Oh dear, what a pity. Caster, you were just a few seconds too late."

The audience recognized the familiar teasing voice, followed by countless swords floating above Kuzuki's head.

It was Archer.

Once again, at the critical moment, he chose to change sides, baring his fangs at his second Master.

Although Rin's combo hadn't directly sent Caster back to the Throne of Heroes, it had injured her severely, rendering her unable to use magic properly.

This was the moment Archer had been waiting for.

"Trace On—"

With the incantation familiar to both the characters on screen and the audience, the swords in the air flew toward a single target, piercing Kuzuki.

"Souichirou—!"

With a tragic cry, Caster used her body to shield her Master from the falling swords.

This was the scenario Archer most wanted to see.

If he attacked Caster, she might dodge.

But if he targeted her Master, the witch in love would make only one choice.

Caster's cloak fell, revealing her beautiful face never seen before.

Her blood-covered form made the scene both enchanting and tragic.

"Are you alright, Master..."

Dragging her dying body, Medea hugged her Master, her white fingers resting on the expressionless man's cheek.

Her voice was barely audible but filled with concern for the man before her.

"Ah..."

Receiving a positive response from her Master, Caster smiled contentedly.

The woman had no regrets; her wish was fulfilled the moment she met the man before her.

Her only regret was that the dream ended too soon, to the point where she didn't even have time to say goodbye to the man she fell in love with.

Caster's disappearance didn't change Kuzuki's expression, but the audience could feel the intense fighting spirit emanating from him.

Despite knowing he wasn't a match for a Heroic Spirit, Kuzuki still assumed a fighting stance, launching an attack on Archer.

The battle resumed.

Kuzuki moved, rushing forward and landing a punch on Archer's head.

Then, with a flash of swords, Kuzuki's chest was pierced by a long sword.

Blood sprayed everywhere.

The battle ended quickly and decisively in a single round.

Without Caster's reinforcement, Kuzuki's punches couldn't exert the power of a Noble Phantasm.

His attacks were ineffective against a Servant, and his mortal body couldn't withstand sharp blades.

Thus, Kuzuki lost, and he lost thoroughly.

"This showy knight's style is actually pretty cool," Aoko seemed to be impressed by Archer's actions. "Although his methods aren't entirely aboveboard, they are brave and strategic. And that final blow—Archer deliberately took Kuzuki's punch before striking back—has a chivalrous touch."

Aoko held Archer in high regard, believing that such imperfect heroes felt more genuine.

However, Alice, beside her, frowned deeply.

"That incantation... it's the same as Emiya Shirou's..."

Everyone's chant to activate their magic circuits is unique, especially for someone like Shirou, who uses his own personal phrase.

Now, a Heroic Spirit shared the same incantation, which could only mean...

'Could it be? Is this even possible?'

Having vaguely guessed Archer's true identity, Alice found it unbelievable.

This answer was never within her expectations, making her unsure whether it was a brilliant design or a huge flaw.

Viewers like Alice, who had extensive knowledge of magecraft, were in the minority. Most of the audience, like Aoko, were clueless.

"Alice, what are do you think? Don't you also think this knight's style is cool?"

Then Aoko's perception was shattered. The chivalrous Archer she admired, after defeating the Caster team, ruthlessly turned on Emiya Shirou.

If not for Saber blocking the attack with her sword, Shirou would have been beheaded.

That wasn't the worst part.

Through Archer's explanation, Aoko learned that the red knight chose to first side with Caster and then betray her to remove his Servant contract, allowing him to focus solely on attacking Shirou.

"Why so much hate?"

Aoko couldn't understand why a Heroic Spirit from ancient times would harbor such hatred towards a modern man.

Did Shirou desecrate his grave, or run naked in his coat on the street, ruining his reputation?

"There must be a deep connection," Alice, having guessed Archer's identity, wasn't surprised by his actions.

She didn't know the reason, but if Archer's true name was what she suspected, such behavior wasn't unusual.

Aoko hadn't figured it out yet; she only saw Archer relentlessly pursuing Shirou like a mad dog.

When Rin tried to stop him, she was trapped by his sword.

When Saber intervened, she was knocked down.

Rin contracted Saber to stop him, and despite being repeatedly beaten back, Archer still refused to give up.

Knowing he couldn't match Saber at his current weakened state, Archer finally revealed his trump card.

"So as I pray, Unlimited Blade Works."

Archer recited this incantation, altering the entire world—

<->

"It's starting."

Touko watched the TV screen, her expression deep and inscrutable.

"After today, the magic world will be shaken to its core. Shini, are you ready for the tsunami that's coming?"

On the TV screen, flames surged, gears turned in the sky.

A vast wilderness stretched endlessly, with masterless swords littering the ground, extending to the horizon.

Countless weapons were abandoned in this boundless wasteland. And the red knight stood at the center of this desolate kingdom.

This was Archer's inner world, his final trump card—his Reality Marble, Unlimited Blade Works.

"Another Reality Marble?"

Seeing this, Aoko felt a bit disappointed.

She had already seen a similar scene in Fate/Zero and wasn't particularly impressed.

"Shinji has reached his limit... Such things can't surprise us anymore."

The next second, Aoko realized she was terribly wrong.

"Do you see it, Emiya Shirou?"

Standing at the center of the Reality Marble, Archer opened his eyes, his red coat billowing in the wind.

"This world is the end of your ideals!"

"What the heck——!!!" *N

Countless magus watching the show collectively lost their minds upon hearing this line.
