In Fairy Tail, starts with a Super Mega Gengar

Chapter 78: Chapter 78: Kain Hikaru - The Ruthlessness of a Light Wizard...

Even though Kain Hikaru was a curse wizard, he couldn't help but feel a chill of fear, sensing that he was no match for the light wizard's viciousness shown in the battle.

When it comes to being ruthless, a light wizard truly surpasses all expectations. How long has it been since the battle at the Rock Mountain Range?

Does that guy have some kind of twisted psychology, still keeping Zancrow's blood on hand? What if Gaal Bronz finds a medium? Will his life not be ruined?

As Kain thought about the impending encounter with the Tartaros members, readying themselves to ambush Gaal, he felt an inexplicable dread.

He only had to look at Zancrow to know. If you're constantly hit like that, it's only a matter of time before you break.

Azuma shared the same thought, looking at the unconscious Zancrow with a shiver before turning to Hades.

"Hades, sir," Azuma said, addressing the man who floated Zancrow's body in front of him, checking him over with magic power. Much like the last time, there were no visible traces left.

"It's that kid's curse," Hades mused with narrowed eyes as he realized he had underestimated Gaal Bronz.

Hades had planned the ambush on Gaal Bronz because of Gaal's immense talent. Even though Gaal had many tricks up his sleeve, he seemed much less threatening than Gildarts.

Space Magic was tricky to deal with, but not impossible. Gildarts, however, was untouchable due to his incredible magic power, making him almost impossible to capture.

Currently, both Gildarts and Gaal Bronz were outside Fairy Tail. Since they couldn't deal with Gildarts, Gaal Bronz would have to be handled instead.

But now, upon reconsideration, Gaal proved to be a far greater threat than even Gildarts or Makarov. Such tactics were truly despicable.

Makarov would disdain using them, and Gildarts simply wouldn't, but Gaal Bronz... he would use them freely, with no reservations.

His actions, such as exposing them in the Magic Council's gazette, revealed the kid's audacity.

Who wouldn't be terrified to expose the most powerful guild in the dark world? Yet this kid still found time to work curses.

Was it meant as a warning? Hades narrowed his eyes, a cold edge in his voice. "Seems I've underestimated him."

Azuma wore a troubled expression as he spoke, "With Zancrow in this state, he probably won't be able to continue."

Hades replied in a solemn tone, "Zancrow should stay in the guild for now. You and Kain Hikaru..."

"Looking for trouble!!!" Hades's words were cut off as he roared, his eyes wide with rage.

The dark magic around him surged violently, forming a giant dark hand reaching towards the door.

With a slash, a blood-colored sword pierced through the dark hand, causing Hades' eyes to focus sharply. In front of him, the dark magic condensed into a nearly tangible wall.

The sound of a crack echoed.

The blood-colored sword struggled to pierce the dark magic wall but found it difficult to advance further.

Hades' internal reserves of dark magic continuously poured out, enveloping the blood-colored sword attacking Zancrow.

As the dark magic gradually submerged the sword, it eventually halted its struggle.

Meanwhile, in the Fiore Kingdom, at the city of Venidel, in a hotel room, Gaal opened his eyes with a hint of surprise flashing through them. "It was stopped? Hades is present, huh..." Gaal clicked his tongue, thinking it was just his luck.

He then withdrew the layered arrays of curse, pain amplification, and space teleportation.

Gathering the stones soaked in Zancrow's blood from the center of the formation, he realized that the two curses came one after another with little delay.

The first curse had hit its mark, but the second, coming a few breaths later, encountered resistance and was cut off.

This kind of magical insight and countermeasure was undeniably Hades'. After all, the others couldn't defend against such magic.

Cursing Zancrow was merely a pastime Gaal remembered out of boredom, especially after having tracked the dark guilds without any leads.

The follower of the Black Magic Order they detected the day before was still being shadowed by Gastly.

One night was too short for any progress.

It seemed like wandering around was the main option left. Sorting through his backpack, he stumbled upon the stones randomly collected during the Rock Mountain Range battle.

That led to the recent turn of events.

Gaal admired the blood-stained stone as he mumbled, "Good stuff... Why didn't I think of this before?"

Now, whenever he's bored, awake late, or in a bad mood, he'll have something to do. Someone has to share his misery, after all.

He just hopes Zancrow lasts long enough. It'll be helpful to collect more of their blood; otherwise, once they're dead, the fun ends.

Feeling elated, Gaal got ready to head out for a stroll, eager to seize the day.

Upon leaving the hotel and walking down two streets, he arrived at a bustling marketplace filled with vendors.

Given Venidel's status as a northern hub of the Fiore Kingdom, its market thrived far beyond that of other places. Merchants from all over gathered here, creating a unique atmosphere.

"Fresh bread, straight out of the oven!"

"Top-quality wool products, come take a look!"

"Spices crafted by mages, just a spoonful will make your taste buds dance!"

"Alchemical potions from the Southern Continent, they'll make you stronger!"

"Come buy! Magic guns! Take down a C-rank Magical Beast with one shot! Even ordinary people can use them!!!"

"You there, selling the guns! Stop right there!!!"

"Quick, quick! Alert the patrol! Arrest that man!!!"

Gaal stepped aside to clear a path.

The guy selling magic guns took off with patrol soldiers hot on his heels. Gaal ambled over to where the market vendors laid out their goods.

These merchants came from all around, and though many items were of little use, they always had the potential materials absorbable by the system.

After browsing for a while, Gaal squatted at a stall, holding a bone in his hand. "How much for this bone?"

"You've got a keen eye, customer. This isn't just any ordinary bone, it's the knuckle bone from a dragon's skeleton that I retrieved during my adventures in the Northern Continent..."

"2 jewels."

"Huh?! That won't do, customer, this is really..."

"1 jewel."

"Deal at two jewels!"

###

Days later, at the assembly point for Grimoire Heart and Tartaros members, the demons on the Tartaros side wore grim expressions.

Kyoka of the Star Tabernacle kept looking over at the tardy arrivals, Azuma and Kain Hikaru, repeatedly confirming that these two really were the only ones.

Kyoka couldn't hold back any longer. "Is this some kind of joke? You invite us for a task, and you show up with just two people? What, do you expect us to lead the charge against Gaal Bronz?"
