In Naruto as senju clan leader

Chapter 2: Discussion

'Unbelievable, a kid taking over and running a clan, who would even approve that!!!' is what everyone must be thinking.

...

Agreed but you gotta bend the rules a little when its about a clan with no living and breathing members except for a woman who couldn't get over her trauma and left the literal village where her clan thrived.

Now, what can anyone do in this situation except force the only adult to come back?

Well it would have been a plausible endeavour if not for that woman being the literal spoiled granddaughter of the first hokage.

A woman who held no respect for anyone except the betting table of a casino. Even that respect was overlooked and table broken in half when angry and fuming. Who could force such a woman to rule over the most esteemed clan of konoha against her wish?

Correct

No one

Well, her teacher could try if he was looking for a house demolition.

Except he wouldn't, he is too scared to do so.

So that leads us to the current situation.

"Rei kun, please understand that your request is truly too difficult to approve. You are asking for the role of a clan leader, at an age where you haven't even entered the academy. How can we agree to this... strange request of yours?"

'Oho I raised my eyebrow at his subtle change of suffix from san to kun. Seems like even he is conflicted over what to do, between the doubt over my abilities and the the helplessness of the situation of the senju clan.

Or maybe he already wants to give it a try and just wants me to convince the oldies of my capabilities.'

I gazed at the infamous F4 and they nodded along with the hokage's words.

'This is going to be a headache to overcome.' I mused while mentally preparing myself for the argument that was about to follow.

"I understand your dilemma hokage sama and elders but might I remind you all the konoha charter mentions no clear age requirement for the lordship of the clan incase of no other members being there. It should automatically fall to me. And as for your advice of having the hokage manage the clan's financial affairs till the return of tsunade sama, I apologise but I cannot accept that. It is not a matter of distrust, but as you all might be aware, clans are a legacy and outsiders hold no sway in clan affairs according to the hokage char-"

"Yes yes Rei senju we know of the konoha charter. But the second hokage never foresaw a situation like this befalling any clan of the village. Your entire argument is based off of a minor technicality. Managing a clan is a difficult affair which is even more so true for one with roots as deep as the senju clan" proclaimed the so called shadow of konoha as I visibly frowned at his interruption and apparent disdain over my abilities.

But I couldn't find a fault in their suspicions since I am according to them, still a child no matter how well I talk since in the end, coming from the mouth of a kid, it was afterall in the end, only just mere talk.

Yet I cannot give up, not after how many of my plans were based around my status as a clan leader.

Before he could continue with his drawn out pathetic attempt at belittling me in every way possible, hiruzen interrupted him.

"Rei kun, please don't take elder danzo's words at heart. He might be a little harsh at speaking but he means well for you as well as for your clan. Afterall, all of the current elders including danzo were the students of the second hokage. We only mean the best interests of your clan at heart. The village is already managing some of the clan's financial affairs considering the 'special situation' of your clan and we are transparent about it.

We don't hold any malicious thoughts over the founder clan and only do so with the belief that tobirama sensei will approve of our actions since they contribute towards the development of the village in the end."

said the 'god of shinobi' as the other elders nodded approvingly at his words while minato himself was still neutral and not favouring any one side.

'Minato's reaction is a good sign though fuck me, the old goat is truly too eloquent for my liking.

He is making even the illegal holdings of the clan's businesses seem like a saintly act. I have no doubt that the funds are going everywhere else except towards the village's development.'

Seeing that he had no intention of continuing with his speech anymore and was just intently staring at me, waiting for my response along with the other people present, I just sighed in my mind.

'Truly, being a kid is a challenge in itself in the ninja world...'

"Lord third I understand where all of you are coming from but I am not here to talk about where the funds of the clan are being allocated to or that I doubt your intentions.

I am happy that the clan is benefitting the village despite its precarious situation and I will not mind continuing to do so after I become the clan head but the reality of the situation is that the Senju clan has no head. The founder clan of the village has no representative in the decision making of the village and our supposed head has left the clan in its most dire state and somebody needs to step up.

I know that my age brings up a lot of concerns with you all but there is no other solution. And please do not suggest having an outsider represent the Senju clan. That is a solution that only brings up a plethora of troubles in the long term and I will never agree to it.

My opinion might not have mattered much if the clan wasn't in this state but the truth of the matter is that I am the only living Senju currently residing in the village at this moment and therefore I believe I deserve the say in this."

I took a deep breath as I finished with my bullshittery and could already imagine the master level bullshittery skill in my status after today.

But if they still refuse to listen then I will have to take more riskier steps to ensure my ascension.

Afterall, one trick ponies are so not cool.
