In Naruto as senju clan leader

It was at this time, Minato decided to speak up,

"Lord third and elders, perhaps it won't be too troublesome to atleast let Rei kun try since he is so passionate over his clan. Even I, as the hokage am troubled by the situation of the Senju clan, seeing it completely barren and quiet. What the Senju clan needs right now is someone willing to stand up and bring it back to its former status.

And harsh as it might sound lord third, even though I respect tsunade sama but she is currently not fit to stay as a clan leader so we might as well let Rei kun try. I believe he truly might surprise us with his capabilities."

Minato finished with his characteristic sunny smile directed towards me and I was grateful that I was reborn in his era or else I might have already killed myself out of sheer anger and powerlessness towards the leadership.

Well I guess, atleast I don't possess the famous cursed bad luck that seemed to afflict lord first and tsunade.

"Minato, it is truly refreshing to see you have such a positive mindset towards the younger generation. I truly feel it was the right choice all along to choose you as my successor." Finished the professor with a grateful look on his face that I suspect only managed to fool Minato in the entire room.

'A dangerous foe indeed'

I finished my internal musings seeing that my time to speak was about to arrive.

"Thank you for your kind words lord third and I also feel grateful to have been seen as worthy to be your successor."

Minato finished passionately as I just rolled my eyes at the unbelievable glazing going on here.

Interrupting them, i directed my gaze towards the F4 and chose to hammer the iron while it was still hot.

"Like Minato sama just said, Senju clan currently has no one with its blood running through them who can lead it. It only has me and tsunade sama and even she is not willing to stand up as the clan leader which only leaves me. Therefore, I implore you to accept my request and if you are all concerned how tsunade sama feels over this situation then we can just summon her to the village and ask for her opinion on the matter."

The 2 insignificant oldies along with minato started staring intently at the third hokage and he just sighed, feeling all the gazes. Afterall, in the entire village the only one who had any semblance of an idea over her location was the third hokage himself.

Hiruzen, realising he had no way out of this situation spoke up,

"I did contact tsunade after this issue came up but her reply was...that we can work it out between ourselves and that she doesn't care who rules the clan as long as she gets her regular betting fund."

Hearing that, all the other elders sighed out in disappointment while Minato had a sheepish smile on his face.

Afterall, he knew just how peculiar tsunade could be through Kushina.

Danzo, not willing to let the situation get in my favour spoke up at this moment.

"That makes it easier. Rei Senju, although you do have some potential to lead a clan, in the end potential is just potential and it doesn't give us any idea over your current abilities, we cannot risk the esteemed Senju clan falling in incapable hands."

"So elder danzo, you would much rather it doesn't fall in anyone's hands even if the clan goes stagnant and dies out?"

"We will not repeat ourselves anymore Rei Senju. It is much better for the clan to remain stagnant rather than us risking it out with a brat who is still wet behind his ears."

'Tch, classic oldie mentality. No wonder this bunch of four managed to ruin konoha to such a degree in no time at all.' I kept my expression neutral while silently gazing at all of the ones present. Hiruzen seems content with danzo's words. The two elders also kept their expression neutral. Seems like the four of them are in it together.

Minato was the only one frowning at danzo's words and seeing me look at him decided to speak for me since the other three seemed to entirely disregard my words.

"Lord danzo, the Senju clan has so much land and businesses that, if managed right could help the village develop. Perhaps we should let Rei kun try it out himself for some tim-"

"Do you hear yourself lord fourth? You are asking for the founder clan of konoha to be managed by a child who is not even 10 years old. If the other villages were to hear of this, konoha would become a laughing matter in the whole world."

"I apologise for the harsh words of danzo minato, he doesn't mean to dissuade your authority as hokage. But even I believe that handing the authority of a clan leader to a child is too much burden. He simply doesn't realise the weight of his words."

"You don't need to apologise lord third and I understand your words but if this continues on the Senju clan will simply fall to a state where regaining their former strength will simply become an impossibility. Somebody needs to preside over the clan's matters so it can hold its current state until it has more members.

We can let Rei kun ascend according to his wish and approve the clan restoration act for the Senju clan to ensure its future restoration as the founder clan of the village. Lord first and lord second deserve this much for their contributions to the current state of the village."

Minato finished with his thoughts on the matter and I was truly surprised because I didn't think he had it in him to go against the collective decision of all the elders.

Seems like danzo's interruption angered him afterall. Sunny minato not so sunny at this moment.

The other elders seemed ready to argue with minato all day long but I had enough of it. I just got off my seat and gave my final thoughts on the matter.

"If the elder will keep on denying me my right as a member of the clan and decide my clan's fate between themselves then I have no other choice but to take some more drastic measures.

Lord Fourth, I will invoke my right as a potential heir of the clan to summon the clan heads of all the clans of the village for a meeting next week. The fate of my clan cannot be decided by outsiders and I won't allow it at any cost. Please inform them of the meeting and I will bring up my application there. Farewell"

I turned around and left already thinking of what I should do next to ensure that the meeting goes as smoothly as possible leaving the hokage gobsmacked and the elders with a grim expression on their face.
