I’ve Reincarnated, So I’m Going to Try Trading With Earth by Myself

Chapter 25: Chapter 25: Start from the beginning.

The talks with the US are over, the next stop is Japan.

I met the FBI duo, Jack and Maria for the first time in a long time and they escorted me to the chartered plane.

On the plane, I got some time to talk with the two of them leisurely.

"You' ve been busy, Lina, coming from Ottawa to New York and now going to Japan."

Maria seems surprised to see my schedule.

"Yes, but it's a rewarding job. I also like games."

"That would be nice. Are there any other Maldeans coming besides you? I suppose it wouldn't be strange if each country had its own ambassador."

"I'm probably the only one who's coming. The people upstairs are busy, they've been entrusted with a huge amount of work…"

At Jack's question, I looked out the window to escape.

It's now completely up to me. Some would say ignored or neglected.

I guess they hadn't been told the full story.

I took a rest, deceiving the curious FBI duo.

Well, this time I was going to Haneda Airport instead of Kansai International Airport.

As expected, the Japanese government is cooperating with me, and I have to say hello to them when I go to hand over the magic items.

I also realized that it is hard to go to places outside of Kyoto when I only have a relationship with Nikkendo.

If it's the name of visiting Japan itself, it wouldn't be strange to go sightseeing in Nara.

Right now Tokyo is closer than to go to my home in nara.

There's a random warp that could turn things around, but I'm not sure that that warp is going to go where I'm most pleased.

It feels like Momotaro that only have "Fly-off cards"…

Cards that you don't know where to fly are interesting in games.

As soon as I landed at Haneda, I was immediately surrounded by guards from Japan, protecting my perimeter as the spark from camera flash are Jack Maria's duo.

"Linaaaa-chan!"

"Look hereee!"

From the terminal building of the airport, people are shouting towards me.

Many media cameras are also visible.

It seems that the police are on high alert and have put a barrier between me and the public.

I guess my visit to Japan itself has been publicized.

"Please get in here."

I was quickly put in a car and left Haneda.

Looking at the Internet, I saw that Japan's social networking sites were in an uproar.

[I can't get close to Lina, but I managed to get a good picture.]

It must have been taken from the airport terminal. The video of me walking away is buzzing.

[Cute!]

[he' s so short that she walks like a child.]

[Hey, she' s here in Chiba!]

While many people were as happy as if it was a star visit to Japan, some people were noticeably more excited on the political side.

[Lina Marderita is not an idol. She is an important negotiator who brings in magical goods. How much she can import is in the hands of the government.]

[Please I'm counting on you!]

And, as I expected, there was a lot of excitement in the enthusiast community.

[The only reason Ms. Marderita is coming to Japan is to import games. Now is the time for us retro gamers to come together and show her the appeal of retro games!]

[Send 1,000 units each of the Famicom Mini and Megadara Mini to Nagatacho!]

As expected of a gamer. They seem to be acting in ways I can't understand.

Everywhere I looked, I felt that Japan was enveloped in a strange kind of excitement.

I arrived at Nagatacho in Tokyo and headed for the Prime Minister's residence, surrounded by my bodyguards.

Naturally, I was greeted by the head of state.

In a large room in the residence, I had a reunion with the Prime Minister.

"Prime Minister, it's been a long time."

"It's been a long time, Mr. Marderita. Your Japanese is very good, like always."

I greeted him in Japanese, so we ended up talking in Japanese.

"Thank you very much. Japanese games have been well received in Maldea, and we hope to continue expanding our business there."

"I'm glad to hear that. I'll be happy to help you in any way I can, just let me know if you need anything."

We exchanged greetings and I transferred the ten shrink boxes to Japan.

"I'm sorry it's not much, but I hope it helps the people of Japan."

"Thank you for your concern. I promise to use it for the people."

After the meeting, I headed straight to the Tokyo office of Nikkendo.

"It's been a while, Ms. Marderita."

The salesman with side partings haircut that greeted me was familiar to me.

The sales manager who was in Kyoto had come all the way to Tokyo to meet me.

"How was the sales?"

"Yes, we are doing very good. It's been a good experience for us. We are trying to spread the game step by step in an empty market."

"Oh, really? When I was young, I used to travel all over the country to sell Famicom. It seems that you are experiencing the same thing now, isn't it, Ms. Marderita?"

The director said this with a deep sense of emotion.

Then we went into the conference room to discuss the future with the higher-ups at Nikkendo.

"Is online still the problem?"

When I explained our situation, the person in charge of hardware design folded his arms.

"Yes. With the switz we are now having, it is currently difficult to get an online environment over there. Converting from wifi or wired to the Maldea communications net is a challenge, and then there's the issue of running a server."

At my words, the director sitting in the back raises his hand.

"There's no problem with just offline games. For the time being, I don't think it's a problem to have only offline games. It's too early to suddenly launch an online game in an empty market."

"That's true. In the beginning, we'd like to focus on traditional single-player games and local multiplayer games."

"So the next one should be The Legend of Zeldo"

Naturally, the developers came up with a list of potential titles for the future.

"Yes. Zeldo is a fantasy world, and the characters are subhuman, so it will be easy for the Maldeans to accept. But there's a lot of text, so I think localization will be a big challenge."

Legend of Zeldo is an action puzzle game created by the same developers as Maruo.

Travel through a fantasy land, solve mysteries and save a captive princess.

Dungeons with intelligent gimmicks will always make players groan.

Thirty-five years have passed since its birth.

This is the core title of Nikkendo, which continues to receive enthusiastic support from all over the world.

I thought for a moment and then looked at the developers and sales people.

"Then, is it okay if one of the next titles is the Legend of Zeldo?"

"Oh, do you want to do it!"

"OK. Let's take the time to localize carefully."

They are game developers, after all.

They seemed to be quite enthusiastic about Zeldo.

However, Legend of Zeldo is going to take some time before it is released.

But before that, I want to have another one that's easy for children to understand.

If we were going to release a game that would be popular among adults, we wanted to make sure that the other one would be something that children would enjoy for balance.

"Hmm. There are a lot of titles out there, but I'm having trouble deciding on one."

I raise my hand among the adults who are looking over the documents.

"I thought about it when I saw the atmosphere of the people playing in Maldea. The people over there still don't know anything but Maruo. I thought that they would play if it was fun, regardless of how old they are. So, how about an all-star package of some of the old games?"

"A retro game all-star. That's right, we're planning something like that too. What kind of titles do you think would be good, Lina?"

I nodded to the old man who asked me a question as if he was testing me.

The first title that comes to mind is the one that was created in the old days and is still interesting today.

The first title that comes to mind in this context is that one.

"The main software is, of course, Tetras."

The iconic four-block puzzle game that sent the world into a whirlwind of excitement.

If I don't deliver this, I can't start.
