Level Up: Voidwalker

Chapter 288: Moonlit Harbor

While Atlas delivered bone-crushing punches that kept the opponent off balance, Nulia's movements were a blur of speed and precision. Her fists struck like iron hammers, each blow landing with accuracy.

As those two were fighting, Lilith was rushing around the battlefield taking out any Empire soldiers she came across. By the time she slowed down to catch her breath, she was covered in blood.

She huffed before going after the mages that tried attacking her boy. Atlas watched the Honey Badger going crazy as she zoomed around, which made him smile. Following that, Estelle, Grishna, and Artemis were fighting close together.

Explosions rang out, monster howls and screeches echoed across the land. Seconds later, Atlas noticed a group of cannons were taking out the Tarrasques but were soon overwhelmed by the Kenkus.

Their blades sunk deep into the Achaemendians. The battle went on for hours, as Atlas and the women were too much for the army, causing it to crumble. Thanks to all the monsters that were fighting, they won the fight.

Atlas stood at the edge of the battlefield as he watched the Void Ghouls chasing after the soldiers on horses. He dismissed his helmet, causing the fresh air to brush against his face just as Amethyst landed with a thud.

She transformed into her humanoid form as she spoke with a big smile. ''That will send a message to Astoria. Now all we need to do is find a city to relax in for a while.''

''Are there any free cities close by?'' Atlas questioned.

The purple-haired woman nodded with a twinkle in her eyes. ''Moonlit Harbor. We could hide out there for a while. Although allied with the empire, they remain isolated, making it a haven.''

He nodded in agreement and replied after she told him where the city was and how to get there, ''Go inform the others and meet me at the entrance. I need to get the Void Ghouls to handle the looting.''

Amethyst's face lit up with joy. She tiptoed closer, pressing a love-filled kiss to his cheek before dashing off. Left alone, Atlas couldn't help but smile, the warmth of her gesture lingering as he turned his attention back to the task at hand.

With a wave of his hand, he summoned the eerie Void Ghouls, their hollow eyes gleaming as they awaited his command. ''Go loot everything valuable and bring it here,'' he said.

The monsters nodded before sprinting off, causing Atlas to walk toward a barrel and sit down while watching everything. He quickly noticed Grishna, Estelle, and Zena were chatting while walking out of the fortress's keep.

Amethyst, Artemis, and Nulia were sitting by a fountain drinking some ale the brunette gave them. While sitting there, he pulled out some Horned Rabbit Kebab and started eating, which tasted delicious.

Hours passed by the time the Ghouls were done with the looting. There was now a giant pile of gold, silver, and other valuable items. Atlas quickly stored it all in his storage as Estelle approached, ''Can we rest in the Otherworld, handsome? I used too much magic in the fight and need to rest like the others,'' she asked.

Atlas nodded before opening a portal, causing the blonde to smile when seeing this. She kissed him and stepped through as the others did the same until Lilith was left standing there with a knowing smirk.

He gulped and quickly warned the Honey Badger woman with a chuckle, ''Don't you dare Lili! We are in the middle of ruins. It's no time to fight.''

Lilith didn't listen and lunged forward and collided with his chest. Atlas yelped, but she straddled and started nibbling on his ears. A shiver shot down his spine as she attempted to pin him down.

Atlas let her do it with a smile until she leaned up with glowing yellow eyes. Her smile revealed her sharp teeth before she spoke, ''I love watching you fight master, it makes me want to sit on your face.''

His cheeks went red when hearing his, but quickly grabbed Lilith's tight ass and replied with a knowing grin, ''All we have to do is wait a few months and I can claim you. I want to get to know you girls even more before taking that step.''

The Honey Badger nodded in understanding before transforming into her smaller size and climbing into his armor. Once Lilith was comfortable, Atlas summoned Theo the Blood Bat King, who appeared from the azure portal.

He let out a chirp while nudging his head against Atlas's body. He stroked the creature with a smile. ''It's good to see you boy, now it's time for some rest. Do you want to fly me there?''

Theo lowered his body, allowing him to climb onto its bed and get comfortable. The bat looked back to make sure he was safe before taking off with a powerful flap of its wings and quickly took to the sky.

'A couple of weeks of rest before heading south to clear the empire from the continent,' he thought with a smile while glancing around.

For hours, they soared across the skies of North Astoria, Theo's massive wings cutting through the crisp air like blades. Below, the rugged landscape stretched endlessly, ancient forests, jagged mountains, and rivers.

The sound of his wingbeats echoed against the stillness. As the sun began its drop far in the horizon, the world around them was bathed in a golden-red hue, shadows stretching long over the land.

From atop Theo's back, Atlas scanned the horizon, his keen eyes catching sight of a secluded cliff jutting out over a valley. Towering stone outcroppings are a perfect place to rest.

''There,'' he said while pointing toward the cliff. ''Take us down.''

Theo tilted his wings, descending as the wind howled around them as they neared the rocky ledge, the last rays of sunlight fading into the horizon. With a soft thud, the Blood Bat King touched down on the cliff, his claws gripping the stone firmly.

Atlas dismounted, his eyes scanning the area before nodding in approval. ''This will keep us safe for the night,'' he murmured, his voice low as the first stars appeared in the sky.

Following that, he sent Theo back to the Otherworld as he went about setting up a tent for him and Lilith. The Honey Badger woman climbed out of his armor and jumped to the ground while staring at him.

Her yellow eyes gleamed with fascination. Ten minutes later, Atlas was done with it and turned to her. ''I think this will keep us warm tonight, Lili. If not, we can cuddle.''

When she heard this, her eyes glowed with love before she rushed toward in as excitement surged through her small body. Atlas sighed just as she crashed into his chest and took him to the ground.

'This damn demon woman loves attacking me,' he thought with a smile.

Lilith continued attacking him all over as she nibbled on his neck and ears, which made him laugh. He tried to get the Honey Badger off him, but she put a stop to that by sitting on his chest.

Atlas sighed in defeat, raising his hands in surrender. She let out a pleased huff, her tail swishing contentedly, before leaning in to lick his face. Her voice echoed softly in his mind, tinged with warmth. 'You know I care for you, right? This is how my kind shows affection.'

Hearing her words, Atlas couldn't help but smile. He reached out, pulling Lilith into a tight embrace. She yelped in surprise but quickly relaxed, nestling against him as he sat up, shaking his head with a quiet chuckle.

Gazing down at her with the softest smile, Atlas smothered Lilith in affection. His fingers glided through her fur, pausing to scratch behind her ears just the way she liked. Lilith's heart wavered, the weight of his care melting away her every hesitation.

Soon, she couldn't resist any longer and crumbled like sugar under warmth. With a blissful sigh, she nestled into his arms, utterly content, as if it was the safest place in the world for her.

Atlas smiled, but she quickly transformed into her human form with a big smile on her beautiful face. Lilith leaned forward and kissed him before nuzzling into his neck, which made him smile.

While relaxing outside the tent, he quickly started a fire using Void Bullet, which sent warmth spreading across the mountain ledge. As that happened, she questioned in a curious tone, ''Why do you care for me so much? I attacked you at our first meeting.''

''I don't care about that Lili,'' he answered while moving a white lock out of her face as her ears twitched. ''In my past life, everyone I loved abandoned me and I was alone until I met you girls and I'm thankful for every one of you sticking with me.''

Following that, Atlas stood up as it started raining and climbed inside the tent before cuddling with Lilith, who happily returned the favor.
