The snow crunched softly under Ethan's boots as he pushed through the thinning forest. His breath clouded in front of him, and the distant voices grew clearer with each step.
He reached a ridge and stopped.
Below him lay a quiet kingdom surrounded by snowy hills and stone walls. Smoke curled from chimneys, flags gently fluttered atop towers, and warm lights glowed from buildings that looked more medieval-European than anything he remembered from Orario. It felt… peaceful.
But foreign.
"Where the hell I Am"
He didn't know where he is, but it felt familiar —
He pulled his hood up and descended the hill, cautious but determined.
Within the Castle Walls
In the heart of the castle, Elsa stood at the balcony, her hands resting on the rail as she looked toward the forest line.
She didn't know why, but something had shifted. The cold, which had always answered her, now felt slightly... reactive.
Tense.
"Is something wrong, Your Highness?" asked Kai, her royal steward, as he entered with a scroll.
Elsa shook her head gently. "No. Just… a feeling."
Kai hesitated, then bowed and left.
Elsa's fingers tightened on the railing. She didn't know what had changed — only that it had.
Back with Ethan
As Ethan neared the city gates, he noticed something strange. The guards weren't armed with swords like Orario's — they held halberds. There were no magic stones embedded in their armor, no falna insignias, no divine auras. Just… humans.
Normal ones.
They watched him warily as he approached, one of them stepping forward.
"State your name and your business, traveler."
Ethan paused.
This wasn't Orario. There was no Guild to smooth things over. No adventurer rank to flash.
But his instincts kicked in.
"My name's Ethan," he said slowly, adjusting his voice to be neutral, non-threatening. "I'm a traveler. I… got lost. I was hoping to find shelter and directions."
The guard squinted. "From where?"
Ethan gave a strained smile. "Far."
The two guards exchanged glances. The older one, a gruff man with a scar under his left eye, narrowed his gaze.
"We don't get many lone travelers from the mountains," he muttered. "Still… you don't look like a threat."
Ethan said nothing, but stayed alert.
"Alright," the older guard said at last. "Don't cause trouble. Head down the main road and keep to yourself. If you're looking for food or rest, check the tavern near the town square Snowflake Inn."
Ethan blinked. "The... Snowflake Inn. Got it."
He nodded and stepped through the gate.
Arendelle
The town was alive with activity. Merchants packed up their stalls. Children played near the fountains. People moved with the crisp discipline of citizens preparing for something important — a festival or a noble event.
Ethan walked slowly, absorbing every detail.
It was calm.
Too calm.
He passed by a few soldiers, shops, and bakeries, drawing only mild attention. His cloak made him look like a wandering noble or mercenary. Still, he avoided eye contact. Until—
"Hey! Watch where you're going!"
A man stumbled back as Ethan nearly bumped into him. Ethan muttered an apology and kept walking.
He'd have to find information — about this world, its people, its rulers, its rules. And more importantly…
How the hell to get back.
But as he crossed the snowy square, something pulled at his senses. Like a presence — distant, powerful, but... similar to a divine aura. Faint. Buried.
He looked toward the tall spires of the castle at the far end of the city.
Something — someone — was there.
And they were watching.
Atop the Castle Tower
Elsa's eyes flickered as she stepped back from the window.
Just for a second… she'd felt it.
Like a spark.
Like someone had stepped into her world who didn't belong — not in a dangerous way, but like a thread that wasn't woven into the same tapestry.
"You…" she whispered.
"Who are you?"
