Luffy Twin Brother: The Monkey King

Chapter 2: Chapter 2

"I would like to…" The young man didn't even get to finish his sentence before the loli waved her hand, sending him flying into the door. Without a second glance, she curled up into a ball, ready to fall back asleep.

"Did he want to say something? Too late now," she muttered, already drifting off. But her peace was short-lived. A flash of light filled the room as someone suddenly appeared before her throne.

Frowning, she opened one eye, only for her expression to drop when she saw who it was.

"B-Big Sis, did you see a black-haired mortal here?" Valkora asked, panic clear in her voice. The loli blinked, momentarily blank. She stared at her sister for a long second before sighing in annoyance.

First day on the job, and Valkora's already making huge mistakes. How did she even confuse the reincarnation door with her own?

"What cheat did he get?" the loli asked, trying her best to remain calm. Everyone made mistakes, after all—even her little sister.

"The 10x reward buff," Valkora muttered, head downcast under her sister's disappointed gaze. The loli sighed and waved her hand, summoning a screen that displayed the young man's cheat—another 10x reward buff.

"So, he has a 100x reward buff now," the loli muttered, rubbing her temples as the weight of the situation sank in.

This wasn't just a mistake. This was big trouble. The moment word got out about what happened here, they'd both be neck-deep in trouble.

"It is what it is," the loli muttered, clearly unbothered. She rolled back into a ball, ready to sleep again, while Valkora stood there, on the verge of tears. This mistake could cost her all her worlds.

Dragging herself back to her throne, Valkora slumped down, a downcast look clouding her gaze. But… maybe she could ease her frustration a little by messing with the mortal who caused all this trouble.

"Lucy! Look, a pirate ship!" a kid cried out, pointing toward the vessel approaching the dock. His wide eyes locked onto the Jolly Roger, which had a distinct red mark running down the skull's face.

"Just as Grandpa leaves, they show up," the kid known as Lucy muttered, frowning as uncertainty flickered across his face.

The two kids looked a lot alike—they were twins, after all. The first kid, the excited one, was called Luffy. Both were only seven years old.

"Let's go see!" Luffy said, eyes shining with excitement.

Lucy rolled his eyes. "Do you want Grandpa to beat you again?" he asked, speechless at his twin's reckless enthusiasm. How many times had their grandpa given Luffy the fist of love for spouting nonsense about becoming a pirate?

Lucy wanted to be a pirate too, but a few well-placed punches had taught him to keep those dreams to himself.

"I'll beat that old man up next time I see him!" Luffy roared at the sky, puffing out his chest before grabbing Lucy's arm and sprinting toward the dock.

Lucy didn't resist. He knew better. With Luffy, it was easier to follow than to argue.

'I think I've seen that flag somewhere,' Lucy thought, eyes narrowing as he studied the Jolly Roger.

Ever since reincarnating into this world and regaining his memories a few years back, he'd struggled to recall much about the world he'd landed in. He didn't even remember who the MC was. Worse, for some strange reason, his sense of direction was terrible, always leading him to the most random places.

That's why Luffy had grabbed his arm—he didn't want Lucy getting lost again. Yes, it's happened before. It was scary.

'…A kid?' Lucy blinked, his gaze locking onto the girl standing at the ship's bow.

Her hair was odd—split perfectly down the middle. One side was crimson red, while the other was pure white, with the white strands completely covering her left eye. Her right eye, the only one visible, was a striking shade of purple.

But what caught Lucy's attention most were the headphones resting around her neck. Headphones? It was the first time he'd seen anything like them in this world, especially since they weren't connected to anything.

"Are you guys pirates?" Luffy asked without hesitation, cutting straight to the point.

Lucy couldn't help but respect that about his brother. Luffy might come off as dumb sometimes, but he always knew what he wanted and never wasted time with nonsense.

"Yeah, we are. Got a problem with that?" the girl replied, a smirk tugging at her lips.

"If you do, feel free to say it. I'm Uta, daughter of Captain Shanks," she added, her expression shifting into one of clear pride. It was obvious she held her father's name in high regard.

"If so, go away!" Luffy snapped, surprising Lucy. For a moment, Lucy expected Luffy to jump at the chance to join the crew. But, thinking it over, it made sense. Luffy didn't want to follow anyone—he wanted to be his own captain. Maybe that was why he refused to become a Marine like their grandpa always wanted.

"Oh yeah? Or what? You gonna fight us?" Uta challenged, stepping forward with a defiant grin. Before Luffy could answer, a hand rested on Uta's shoulder, stopping her.

It belonged to a red-haired man wearing a straw hat. Lucy blinked, a flicker of recognition stirring in the back of his mind. That straw hat… But the thought fizzled out just as quickly. Plenty of people wore straw hats.

Instead, his attention shifted to the man himself. Three distinct scars ran across his left eye—the same as the mark on the Jolly Roger, where a red line slashed down the skull's left side.

"I didn't know there were two tough sheriffs in this village," Shanks said with a friendly smile. He didn't carry the air of a pirate, which threw Lucy off. He'd rushed over expecting to save Luffy from getting into trouble, but now? He wasn't so sure.

Shanks's eyes casually scanned the twins, but they lingered on Lucy.

There was something off about this kid. His body, while childlike, was too well-built—lean muscle sculpted far beyond what any seven-year-old should have. It wasn't just training; Shanks had seen countless warriors, and no amount of effort could explain strength like this at such a young age.

"Who are you?" Luffy asked, frowning as he instinctively sensed what Lucy had already picked up.
