Chapter 162: Chapter 163: The Purple Yam Head
Upon hearing the Sea God's words, the Flame Giant hesitated. He wanted to be cautious but didn't dare voice his thoughts.
With the Sea God's immense power, he could easily take on both himself and the other Flame Giants. Given his low status, voicing concerns would be pointless and might even bring humiliation.
A flood of words swirled in his mind, but in the end, all he could say was one word: "Yes."
After speaking, the two Flame Giants retreated, leaving only the Sea God and a few maids in the hall.
Moments later, a communication device beside the Sea God buzzed. He picked it up, and his expression suddenly changed. Activating the device, a floating display screen materialized before him, revealing a peculiar sight—a head that resembled a purple yam.
"How's the situation, Njord?" the purple yam head asked.
"Everything is proceeding smoothly. You don't need to worry," replied the Sea God.
Hearing his name addressed so directly, the Sea God's expression turned slightly displeased. However, he remained silent. For now, he still needed the other's assistance, so he endured.
"I heard that Asgard used the Bifrost to send Loki away. Shouldn't you look into this matter more thoroughly?" the purple yam head inquired.
The Sea God furrowed his brows. He didn't need to think hard to guess that either the Flame Giants or the Frost Giants had tipped him off. Otherwise, how would this purple yam head, operating from the shadows, know such details?
"Ugh, what's there to investigate? Loki's just a sorcerer. I wasn't afraid of him when he was in Asgard, and now that he's gone, I have even less to worry about. Bring me a whole cart of such people, and I'll defeat them all!" the Sea God declared, his words laced with an undertone of boasting. It was as if he wanted to emphasize that he was no weaker than the purple yam head on the screen.
The purple yam head seemed oblivious to the implied challenge. He simply nodded to himself and added, "You should still be cautious. After all, you're attacking Asgard. A little prudence won't hurt."
The Sea God grew increasingly impatient but managed to maintain a smile, repeatedly agreeing. Once the call ended, his face darkened. With a swift motion, he crushed the communication device in his hand.
A sinister tone filled the quiet space as the Sea God's cold words echoed.
"Hmph, a mere intergalactic invader dares to command me? Once I conquer Asgard and merge the two realms, I won't show you any mercy, Thanos!"
Somewhere in the vastness of space, on a drifting asteroid, sat a golden throne. Reclining upon it was a bald man with purple skin—the very same "purple yam head" who had just spoken with the Sea God.
"Lord Thanos, should we intervene? The Sea God doesn't seem to take this matter seriously," rasped a black-robed figure standing before him.
Leaning back on his throne, Thanos squinted slightly and replied, "There's no need. Let him handle it himself. Forcing a move now would do me no good."
As soon as he finished speaking, a look of pain flickered across Thanos's face. Clutching his left chest, he appeared momentarily distressed.
"Lord Thanos?" The black-robed figure instinctively stepped forward but was stopped by Thanos, who raised a hand to signal him to stay back.
After taking a few labored breaths, Thanos finally said, "I'm fine. Leave the Sea God's affairs alone. Let him solve it on his own. You may go."
The black-robed figure hesitated, glancing at Thanos's still-pained expression. After a moment, he bowed deeply and left.
Once the figure had been gone for a while, Thanos's expression gradually returned to normal. His hand remained over his chest as he murmured to himself.
"This incomplete Heart of the Universe is such a nuisance. That Sea God better pick up the pace. For now, I'm counting on him."
Nidavellir: The Star of Dwarves
"Yes! I did it, I did it!" Eitri's ecstatic voice rang out.
Hearing this, Han Yu instinctively wanted to blurt out, "What the hell did you do!"
But he quickly swallowed the words, realizing that these aliens wouldn't understand the humor in a Chinese Earth joke. Saying it might come off as disrespectful, so he held back and walked briskly toward Eitri.
"The God Armor is complete?"
"It's done!"
Eitri picked up the Heavenly Stellar God Armor, a sleek, lightweight battle suit designed with precision.
"Shall we try it?"
Han Yu glanced at Hela, who didn't stand on ceremony. She stepped forward, took the armor, and went to find a place to put it on.
After all, the armor was made specifically for her. If she hesitated now, it would just come across as insincere.
Not long after, a long, elegant leg emerged from behind a cover, and soon Hela herself stepped out.
Every man present, except for Han Yu, was momentarily stunned, including Loki.
Wearing the armor, Hela's curvaceous figure was highlighted to perfection. The dark green armor plates were crafted in a slim, fitted design, covering her legs, arms, and torso without appearing bulky. It was clearly designed for agility.
Despite its sleek and lightweight appearance, the armor was forged with Uru metal. Combined with the God Armor's inherent extraordinary defensive properties, its protection was unparalleled.
This wasn't just about blocking swords and spears; the armor could even react instinctively to magic attacks, absorbing or deflecting them to shield its wearer. It was a perfect blend of beauty and functionality.
"Hmm, not bad at all. I'm very satisfied," Hela said, twirling around. Her delicate, stunning face was full of delight as she winked at Han Yu with a playful smile. "Thanks!"
Han Yu gave a casual nod and smile. He turned, intending to call Loki so they could leave, but noticed Loki staring dumbfounded at Hela. Helpless, Han Yu nudged him and said, "Hey, buddy, snap out of it. That's your sister."
Realizing his lapse, Loki coughed awkwardly and muttered, "She's not my biological sister, so what's wrong with looking?"
Han Yu rolled his eyes. "Keep that up, and you'll end up in trouble. Ever heard of German orthopedics?"
Loki didn't understand the reference but muttered a vague response, though his eyes occasionally darted back to Hela.
Even Loki, who typically showed no interest in women, was visibly taken aback. As for the dwarves, who could spend centuries immersed in their work, they couldn't tear their eyes away.
Han Yu smirked, glancing at the dwarves. Though they were called dwarves, their average height was four meters, with proportions that made them appear stunted.
"You guys better not even think about it," Han Yu thought to himself. "With body proportions like that, being together would be downright dangerous."
"Oh, Eitri, can you forge me another weapon?" Han Yu suddenly asked.
"What kind of weapon?"
"The Stormbreaker."
"The Stormbreaker? What do you want with that?"
Eitri froze in surprise. The Stormbreaker wasn't just any weapon; among the many divine artifacts, its status was extraordinarily high.
"What are you talking about? I don't even understand anymore. What's the Stormbreaker?" Loki asked, visibly puzzled.
