Chapter 164: Chapter 164: The Stormbreaker Axe

"The Stormbreaker Axe is an extraordinary weapon capable of seamlessly connecting to the Bifrost and maximizing the wielder's potential," Eitri explained.

"Wow, that powerful? Then why wait? Make one for each of us!" Loki exclaimed.

Eitri responded sternly, "No! A weapon of this caliber is exclusively reserved for the King of Asgard. If such a weapon were widely distributed, it could cause unimaginable harm across the universe."

Loki, startled by Eitri's seriousness, fell silent reluctantly.

Han Yu stroked his chin and nodded in agreement. He was well aware of the axe's immense power. This was a weapon capable of withstanding the energy surge of the Infinity Stones—a feat no other weapon could achieve, as they would disintegrate under such overwhelming force.

The Stormbreaker also possessed unparalleled offensive power. Even someone as impervious as Thanos, with his nearly indestructible skin, could be effortlessly wounded by it.

Thanos was a rare anomaly in the universe. His unique strength allowed him to wipe out half of all living beings with a snap. But if there were an entire race of super-beings like Thanos, they would undeniably be at the center of the cosmos.

Unfortunately, Han Yu knew that in the cinematic universe he remembered, Thanos had destroyed his own planet. Here, in this world, Han Yu doubted Thanos would ever change his ruthless ways.

Even before Han Yu realized he was altering the timeline, Thanos had already given Loki the Scepter containing the Mind Stone to invade Earth. Now, with the timeline altered, Han Yu believed Thanos would also change—but only to become even more violent and destructive.

"Why do you need this weapon? I require a valid reason; otherwise, I cannot forge it for you," Eitri said, his tone firm. His professional ethics dictated that while he could create the Stormbreaker, he was equally responsible for ensuring it went to the right hands.

Han Yu did not take offense. It was Eitri's duty, and forcing him to craft the weapon would make Han Yu no different from Thanos.

"After this battle, Asgard will inevitably select a new King," Han Yu said. "I want the other realms to witness Asgard's strength. I don't want another incident where the balance of the realms is jeopardized."

"Not everyone can govern as Odin did—with 'benevolence' toward the other realms. If someone else takes the throne, they might adopt a mindset similar to Hela's, seeking to conquer the realms through brute force and become the King of the Nine Realms instead of just Asgard's King."

Hearing her name, Hela rolled her eyes but chose to remain silent, merely turning her head away from Han Yu.

Loki and the others nodded quietly. Loki had once invaded Earth—a shameful memory. Back then, if Earth hadn't launched a nuclear missile, he might have succeeded in capturing New York.

However, deploying a nuclear weapon on Earth's surface would have caused catastrophic damage to humanity itself, leading to a lose-lose situation.

Earth, a mid-level world among the realms, would always be the victim in such alien invasions. While its technology was decent, its population's physical capabilities were relatively weak.

The only ones capable of fighting were superhero teams like the Avengers. Compared to the Frost Giants, for example, who had limited technology but vastly superior physical strength, Earth was at a severe disadvantage. A single average Frost Giant could defeat dozens of humans.

For Earth, such an invasion would spell disaster.

Thus, Han Yu believed a just ruler was needed—someone who could unify the Nine Realms through strength and manage them with fairness.

Odin refrained from taking action because if he truly intervened, Asgard would suffer heavy losses as well.

But now, with Han Yu's assistance, Asgard could undoubtedly succeed.

Eitri pondered deeply. He agreed with Han Yu's reasoning—without Han Yu's intervention, Asgard would have indeed faced complete annihilation in this calamity.

He wanted to change the course of events but lacked the means to do so. After all, he was merely a craftsman.

Han Yu remained silent, allowing Eitri some time to consider.

After a brief moment, Eitri let out a long sigh and said, "Fine, fine. I'll forge it for you. But with the bizarre items in your shop, I doubt you lack anything stronger than this Stormbreaker Axe. You just don't want to disrupt the balance of this universe, do you?"

Han Yu said nothing.

To Loki, who had witnessed Han Yu's capabilities firsthand, Eitri's statement came as no surprise. Loki had seen miraculous items before, such as the magical Senzu Beans that could instantly heal any wound. Even Asgardian technology couldn't replicate such marvels, and Loki had long since stopped being surprised by them.

Ganata and Hela, on the other hand, looked at Han Yu with renewed curiosity. Though they'd heard him mention his general store before, they had assumed it was merely a typical black-market shop on some remote planet.

However, judging by Eitri's words, Han Yu's store seemed anything but ordinary. For Eitri, the king of the most skilled forging race in the universe, to praise the items in his shop—it was enough to intrigue them both.

"This guy can negotiate with Mephisto and knows the King of the Dwarves? Interesting. I need to find a chance to visit his shop and see what kind of treasures he has," Hela mused to herself.

Ganata's thoughts, however, were far simpler. "The stuff in his shop is better than what these dwarves make? Then he must have even more delicious food! I have to check it out!"

Unaware of their plans, Han Yu turned to Eitri and said, "If that's the case, let's not waste any time. Start forging."

Eitri nodded and led the group to the heart of Nidavellir, the Dwarves' star-forge.

There, a massive furnace stood, powered by light beams directly channeled from a distant star. These beams struck an energy-concentrating ring, generating immense heat that was distributed to the other Dwarves' forges.

Eitri climbed onto the platform and fiddled with the equipment, eventually lowering a large, square, thick iron plate.

"What's this? Is it… the Stormbreaker… plate?" Loki quipped.

Eitri rolled his eyes and retorted, "Idiot, this is the mold!"

Loki scratched his head and gave an awkward laugh. "Ah, I see. Haha."

"The Stormbreaker Axe is unlike other weapons. The forging temperature required for it is the highest among all weapons—it must be melted under the heat of a star," Eitri explained.

With that, Eitri added several chunks of Uru metal into the furnace. The group peered inside and saw that the Uru, which had withstood thousands of strikes from Han Yu without budging under normal flames, was now beginning to melt.

Eitri monitored the furnace, and after about ten seconds, he tilted it to pour the molten metal into the previously prepared mold.
