Tony no longer held back and began firing at Peter Parker with everything he had.
When Alex Ray saw this, he thought to himself that Tony had been too arrogant before. Iron Man was always at his most formidable when using thermal and ranged weapons, yet he insisted on engaging Peter in close combat.
Though Peter appeared slim, he possessed immense strength. Without that, he never could've defeated Kingpin in any alternate universe.
Despite his extraordinary Spider-Sense, which helped him predict incoming danger, Peter couldn't fully evade Tony's fierce assault.
Missiles and lasers rained down like a storm. Smoke and debris erupted into the air, filling the battlefield with chaos.
Peter did everything he could to dodge, but his body was still struck by blasts and shrapnel.
He crashed to the ground in pain, the haze around him thick with smoke, his form barely visible in the aftermath.
Thanks to his high-tech HUD, Tony could clearly see the small spider's silhouette. He mistook Peter's collapse for a victory and flew toward Alex Ray.
"Your apprentice is good, but still a bit behind me," Tony said proudly as he removed his helmet.
He reached out to Alex for the Space Stone, eager to begin studying it. But Alex didn't hand it over. Instead, he smiled faintly and said, "The game's not over yet."
Tony instinctively turned around—just in time to see the smoke clearing. Peter's figure slowly emerged from the haze.
Peter hadn't given up. He forced himself to stand. His Spider-Suit was torn to shreds, his face blackened with soot, but his eyes burned with unwavering resolve.
Tony stared in disbelief. That this seemingly fragile young man had survived such an onslaught was beyond comprehension.
Quickly donning his helmet again, Tony lifted off and hovered in midair. "He actually withstood all that?" he said aloud, surprise heavy in his voice.
Peter looked up at him, a half-smile curling on his lips. "I'm not that weak. Your attacks don't even come close to my master's."
His tone brimmed with confidence—clearly, Alex Ray's training had left its mark.
Tony didn't take offense. On the contrary, he found himself impressed by Peter's resilience and began to re-evaluate Alex's abilities as a teacher.
"Maybe I should ask Alex to train me sometime," he mused internally.
He launched another round of attacks, this time with more intensity, probing for weaknesses in Peter's defense.
The others, hearing Peter's remark, turned to look at Alex Ray. None of them had expected him to be so strict with his apprentice.
When Richard Fisk—Kingpin's son—heard Peter's words and saw his ruined suit, he shook his head and quietly gave up on asking Alex for training. He didn't believe his body could handle it.
Harry Osborn whispered to his own mentor, "Master, do you think Mr. Alex could give me some pointers too?"
Harry had trained alongside Peter every day, but he had never received direct instruction from Alex. Watching Peter go toe-to-toe with Iron Man made him envious. He turned to Deadpool and asked him to request training on his behalf.
Deadpool didn't respond. Instead, he sulked in the corner, drawing circles with his finger on the ground and muttering, "I'm not as good as Alex… not as good…"
Harry hurried over to comfort him.
As the battle between Iron Man and Peter grew more intense, Wanda Maximoff watched from the side, her expression filled with concern.
She stepped closer to Alex and asked softly, "At this rate, it looks like your little apprentice might actually win."
Alex shook his head slightly, his gaze locked onto the battlefield. His tone was calm: "It's still too early to say."
Wanda raised an eyebrow, curious. She tried to read his expression but found nothing.
With her own keen senses, she could tell that Peter—despite taking more and more damage—was somehow growing stronger. Tony's attacks required increasing effort to land. If things kept going this way, Tony would run out of firepower and lose.
"Tony's not as weak as you think," Alex replied. "Peter's still too young."
He understood Tony better than most. Tony Stark was one of the most brilliant minds in the Marvel Universe—perhaps the only mortal who could rival the gods.
Alex didn't know Tony's next move, but he knew Peter couldn't win in his current state.
"Your pride won't let you lose to my apprentice," Alex thought silently.
As if proving Alex right, Tony began to feel the pressure. His mecha's energy was steadily depleting, and doubt started to creep into his mind.
He called out to JARVIS through the suit's interface, "JARVIS, haven't you found this kid's weakness yet?"
Peter's combat ability had far exceeded Tony's expectations. It wasn't that he couldn't beat him—Tony still had a trump card in reserve. But that trump card was meant for Alex Ray, and he didn't want to waste it on Peter.
Still, he stubbornly continued his assault.
Peter's agility and reactions made it difficult to predict his movements, and he nimbly dodged most of Tony's attacks.
Tony couldn't help but marvel at Peter's raw potential.
"Looks like I have to use it after all," Tony muttered to himself, determination flashing in his eyes.
Then, in the blink of an eye, he vanished from the combat room.
Peter's next attack hit only empty air. Confused, he looked toward Alex, silently asking where Tony had gone.
The others exchanged glances and also turned their eyes to Alex, hoping he had an answer.
Alex's brow furrowed slightly. He understood what had happened—Tony had activated the "home system," a specialized tech that allowed him to teleport instantly to a designated location. Most likely, Tony had returned home.
"Impressive," Alex thought. "He's already mastered the system's mechanics so quickly."
He recalled that Tony had flown here originally, meaning the system would default him back to the restaurant.
So, when had Tony returned home? Was it during the conversation with the Ancient One?
"Did he go back to retrieve new armor?" Alex wondered.
Sure enough, five seconds later, Tony reappeared in the room—this time clad in brand-new armor.
Everyone's eyes widened in awe.
The armor's elegant design and seamless structure were a testament to Tony's genius.
Tony caught their reactions and couldn't help but puff up with pride.
"This," he announced, "is a new suit I designed. Originally, I made it to go up against Alex Ray. I call it... the Anti-Hell Lord Armor."
Everyone's attention immediately shifted to Alex—
