Chapter 65: (End of the trial.)
Chapter sixty five:
After I said that the book self fell and Lillia and Jen appeared.
"You're alive." I said.
"What?" Replied Alice.
"How?" Said Billy Maximoff.
Once Lilia and Jen stood up, I expected them to attack Billy, but they remained calmed.
"Relax, Travis. We're cool." Replied Lilia.
"We are?" Said Jen as he looked at her.
"Hey, things are looking up." Replied Alice before she looked at the ceiling.
"Oh, my god." Replied Jen before seeing the swords.
We all then followed Lilia as she walked over to the table.
"My task is to see, who massacred this spread?" Said Lilia.
"He did!" Replied Agatha Harkness as she pointed at Billy Maximoff.
"She did." Said Billy Maximoff.
"It was Agatha." I replied.
"Who's the querent?" Said Lilia.
"Me. I suppose." Replied Billy Maximoff.
Lilia then grabbed the sword. "The querent shuffles and cuts." Said Lilia.
"Lilia, we don't have time for this." Replied Jen.
I then looked at her. "Just shut up." I said.
Jen then rolled her eyes at me. "Shuffle the cards." Replied Lilia.
After Billy Maximoff did so, Lila took the deck and stood up.
"Why did she stand up?" Said Jen.
I just shrugged. "Now, ask your question." Replied Lilia.
"How are we going to get out of here?" Said Jen.
"Teen must ask." Replied Lilia.
"His name is Billy Maximoff." I said.
"Ask her how we're getting out." Replied Agatha Harkness.
"It must be vital to his journey on earth." Said Lilia.
"I'd say it's pretty vital." Replied Agatha Harkness.
"Lilia, can you just deal?" I said.
"He must ask a question." Replied Lilia.
"Why does it matter?" I said.
"Tarot takes time and care." Replied Lilia.
"And leads to large, gasping wounds." Said Agatha Harkness.
"Who am I?" Replied Billy Maximoff as the ceiling stopped.
"That's a pretty good question." Said Lilia.
"See? Lilia knows what she is doing." Replied Jen.
"This is the. Safe Passage spread." Said Lilia.
"The first card is you, the Traveler. Next comes what's missing, the reason for your quest. Here is the path behind, wounds suffered, lessons learned. Here is the path ahead, a space for growth and discovery. Of course, you will face obstacles preceding a potential windfall. You must overcome all to reach your destination." Replied Lilia.
All of us then remained silent. "What, no side remarks?" Said Lilia.
I just shook my head. "Made sense to me." I replied.
"That sounded good to me." Said Alice.
"Good. Now, Teen. I want you to hold your question in your mind. Push everything else away. Focus on that question." Replied Lilia as she placed the cards down.
"Pick a card." Said Lilia.
Billy Maximoff then picked one before giving it to her.
"You are a magician. You have enormous potential and the ability to turn all of your goals into reality. Very fitting." Replied Lilia.
As she placed the card down a sword fell down.
"I don't mean to question your methods or anything." I said.
"Then don't. Choose your next card. What's missing?" Replied Lilia.
Billy Maximoff then took another card. "The sun. Good fortune, joy reunion." Said Lilia.
She then placed the card down and another sword fell down.
"How are we supposed to get it right when tarot is completely subjective?" Replied Agatha Harkness.
I then grabbed her hand. "Pick again. The path behind." Said Lilia.
As Billy Maximoff picked the card and another sword fell down. Agatha Harkness then pulled Lilia back as it started to fall down.
A scream then came from Lilia. And we all turned around.
"Is she okay?" I replied before seeing that she was fine.
"Agatha? What are you doing?" Said Lilia.
"Did you not see impalement in your future?" Replied Agatha Harkness as she pointed to the swords.
"Lilia! I'm just trying to help you!" Said Agatha Harkness.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah." Replied Lilia.
"Are you okay?" Said Billy Maximoff then he stood up.
Lilia then grabbed him by the collar and pushed him back.
"Hey don't push on him like that!" I replied but she just ignored me.
"Whoa! Ow! I thought that we were cool." Said Billy Maximoff.
"We are not cool, Teen." Replied Lilia.
"Damn, using his full name." Said Jen.
"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have lashed out at you." Replied Billy Maximoff.
"You hid your powers from us!" Said Lilia.
"I wasn't hiding my powers from you." Replied Billy Maximoff.
"Oh please you knew that you could do that." Said Lilia.
"I didn't know that I could do that." Replied Billy Maximoff.
"Stop lying." Said Lilia.
"I'm not lying to you. It was a surprise to me, too." Replied Billy Maximoff.
"You're reading my mind." Said Lilia.
"Only because it's loud. No offense." Replied Billy Maximoff.
Even though he didn't mean to push them into the mud.
"I remember you now. Your Billy Maximoff. Wanda's son." Said Lilia.
"Lilia, take it easy." Replied Jen.
"Jen, aren't you furious?" Said Lilia.
"I mean, always. But I moved on." Replied Jen.
"At your prompting. Dory." Said Agatha Harkness.
"Agatha. Back off, she is having a bad day." I replied.
"Why don't you back off, you know damn well they deserved to be pushed into the mud, I'm just surprised Billy didn't do it sooner, because I know I wouldn't." Said Agatha Harkness.
I then took a step closer but Agatha Harkness grabbed my hand. "Maybe later." Replied Agatha Harkness.
I then walked over to Billy. "Are you okay?" I said dusting off his custom.
"The flow of time is a illusion, right? So trust me when I say that your not mad at my son anymore." I replied before looking at Lilia.
"I don't wanna talk about it." Said Lilia.
"This is so demeaning." Replied Agatha Harkness.
"Hey focus up, Lilia. We can be culturally offended later." Said Jen.
