Chapter sixty seven:

"No! Lilia! Lilia! Lilia!" Said Jen.

Billy Maximoff, Alice and I then turned around to face her.

"What happened? Where is she?" Replied Billy Maximoff.

"Inside... She stayed behind to." Said Lilia.

"She sacrificed herself... For us." I replied.

Just as I said that the door was replaced by sand and roots. "Lilia. No. No." Said Jen.

Both Billy and I didn't know what to do, the door was gone and even if we did manage to get through, Lilia was long gone.

A tear then fell down face and I wasted no time wrapping my arms around Alice and Jen, Billy Maximoff then followed me.

"It's okay." I replied before trying to calm Jen down.

But the only thing that we heard from her was her sobbing.

A few minutes by passed and Jen pulled away from the hug, wiping away her tears. She then sat down and Billy Maximoff sat down beside her.

We didn't say anything for the first ten seconds, I looked at the door, Alice was fidgeting with her finger's and Billy Maximoff was watching Jen.

"Lilia wanted to stay behind? She closed it?" Said Billy Maximoff.

Even though he wasn't trying to trigger anything.

"You're sure." Replied Billy Maximoff.

Jen just nodded her head. "Yeah. I'm sure. She did it for us." Said Jen.

Jen didn't want to feel anger, that Lilia had left her or sadness that she was actually gone.

"Rio Vidal." I replied before turning to the other two.

"Green Witch with a capital G. She told us who she was from the very beginning. Green Craft is about the cycle of all living things. Growth and decay in constant flow. It makes sense." I said.

I didn't say another word and continued to watch and listen. "So Agatha's ex girlfriend is Death?" Replied Alice.

"That also makes sense." Said Alice.

"Where is Agatha Harkness by the way?" Replied Billy Maximoff as he just looked at me.

I just shrugged and stood up, and Alice and Jen followed me.

"Dad are you okay?" Said Billy Maximoff as he grabbed my hand.

"I'm fine Billy." I replied with tears in my eyes.

"You don't look fine." Said Billy Maximoff.

"I just... I just didn't want Lilia to die." I replied.

"Me neither." Said Billy Maximoff.

The four of us have been looking for the next trial for about ten minutes, and hopefully Agatha Harkness would be there but I knew she was on the witches road.

"I mean how did they even meet?" Replied Alice as she was now thinking about Agatha Harkness and Rio Vidal.

"Um, over corpses, I imagine." Said Jen.

"More proof that Agatha Harkness has feelings." Replied Billy Maximoff.

"That was your takeaway? I don't understand your loyalty to her." Said Jen.

"She's a broken person, you saw her with her mother." Replied Billy Maximoff.

"Her trial wasn't to be punished, it was to remain as a coven, not turn our backs on each other. And we couldn't even do that." Said Alice.

I just smiled at her. "Well I still don't trust her." Replied Jen.

"You don't have to." I replied before looking at her.

"Ouch!" Said Agatha Harkness.

I then looked at her and saw the tears in her eyes.

"Woah where did you come from?" Replied Alice.

Agatha Harkness didn't answer her. "Time to finish the road." Said Agatha Harkness.

I continued to look at her, something didn't seem right about Agatha Harkness. It was like she had a new personality.

I then pushed back the thought before following them.

"One trial left until the big score." Replied Agatha Harkness.

She was definitely hiding something.

"Earth magic with no Green Witch. We're back to square one." Said Billy Maximoff.

"Oh, there's plenty of overlap between earth and potions, right, Jenny Kale?" Replied Agatha Harkness.

"Some." Said Jen.

"Please. Your last name is a vegetable. I'm surprised that you survived this long. Kale. My money was on Lilia." Replied Agatha Harkness.

Jen just rolled her eyes at her. "What fresh horror's awaits us! It's the big finish after all. Get ready for fireworks! Get ready for spectacle! Get ready for." Said Agatha Harkness.

Agatha Harkness then fell down as Alice began to laugh at her.

"Are those our shoes?" I replied.

"We are back where we started." Said Agatha Harkness.

"The witches road is a circle." I replied.

"And this is the finish line?" Said Billy Maximoff.

Agatha Harkness then looked at Billy Maximoff. "That's it?" Replied Agatha Harkness.

"Well, maybe we passed the trial." Said Billy Maximoff.

Agatha Harkness then started to get angry. "Then how did we get off?" Replied Agatha Harkness.

"Well, maybe we..." Said Billy Maximoff.

"If you don't know, then keep quiet!" Replied Agatha Harkness.

I then grabbed Agatha Harkness by the arm. "What the fuck Agatha. Lilia just died and you're focused on finishing the road. If this is your way of dealing with death then I don't know who you are anymore." I said.

Agatha Harkness then looked at me. Is this really what she wanted? She really liked me, but did she love Rio Vidal more?

"We keep going." Replied Agatha Harkness.

"What?" Said Alice.

"We go again. It will work a second time." Replied Agatha Harkness.

"There is absolutely a zero chance that we are going through that again." Said Jen.

"Fine. Then stay here." Replied Agatha Harkness.

Billy Maximoff then looked down at his shoes and I just looked at Agatha Harkness. What was wrong with her?

"We took them off out of respect for the witches road. Well screw the witches road." Said Agatha Harkness.

Billy Maximoff then put his shoes back on. And everything started to go black.
