Chapter 109: Marvel 109
As they made their way to a nearby diner, the buzz of their new awakenings still lingered in the air. Brian couldn't stop grinning as he flexed his muscles for the hundredth time.
"You guys think I can bench a car now?" he asked, half-serious, as he dramatically struck a pose.
Liam rolled his eyes. "Sure, Hulk. Let's just hope you don't drop it on yourself."
Matt chuckled softly, finding their banter refreshing. Though he kept his thoughts to himself, he couldn't help but think about the vast gap between their potential and his true power as an S-rank Hunter.
'Hm, they are interesting bunch' Max thought as he looked at them, ' I should give them something that will keep them with me '
The trio found a cozy corner booth in the diner, and soon their table was overflowing with food. Brian wasted no time digging in, while Liam leaned back with a satisfied sigh.
"This is just the beginning, you know," Liam said, his voice tinged with excitement. "Once we start taking real commissions, the money, the fame—it's all gonna roll in."
Brian nodded between bites. "Yeah, and I'm gonna get so ripped they'll call me the Titan of Strength!"
"Titan, huh?" Matt smirked, shaking his head. "Let's just get through our first dungeon without tripping over ourselves."
That brought a laugh from Liam, but there was a flicker of nervousness in his eyes. "Yeah, dungeons… Those things are no joke. I mean, people die in there."
The table fell quiet for a moment as reality settled in. The Hunter world wasn't just about power and prestige—it was dangerous.
"Don't worry," Matt said, breaking the silence. His calm, confident tone caught their attention. "Stick together, and we'll make it. Always watch each other's backs."
Brian and Liam exchanged glances, then nodded.
"You're right," Brian said. "We're a team now, and no one's getting left behind."
"Exactly," Liam agreed.
Matt leaned back, satisfied. His friends might not realize it yet, but he intended to ensure their survival, no matter what.
As they wrapped up their meal, Brian suddenly pointed out a TV hanging in the corner of the diner. A news report was playing, showcasing a recent dungeon break in the city. Giant ant-like creatures were swarming through the streets, and the footage showed Hunters struggling to contain them.
"Damn," Brian said, his voice dropping. "That's intense."
Liam whistled. "Imagine being in that mess…"
Matt watched silently, his eyes narrowing slightly. The report confirmed what he already suspected—this world was teetering on the edge of chaos, and greater threats were bound to emerge.
"Well, we're not ready for something like that yet," Matt said, breaking the tension. "But one day… We'll be strong enough to face it."
His words carried a quiet determination that resonated with the others. They nodded in agreement, their excitement tempered by the gravity of their new reality.
For now, they were just three newly awakened Hunters—but their journey was only beginning.

The next day, they arrived at an E-rank dungeon, the lowest-ranked type of raid. Brian and Liam were visibly confused as they followed Matt to the entrance.
"Hey! Aren't we A-rank? Why are we doing an E-rank raid?" Brian asked, his voice full of skepticism. Liam nodded in agreement.
"This is our first dive," Matt replied calmly. "I want to see how you two handle yourselves."
Brian and Liam exchanged uncertain glances. "But we don't have any skills," Brian admitted, scratching the back of his head.
"Yeah, we only awakened recently. How could we have any skills yet?" Liam added, his tone matching Brian's.
Over the past few days, Matt had gathered enough intel to realize something important—people in this world had no true understanding of Traits. Even if someone accidentally demonstrated their Trait abilities, others simply assumed they had awakened a skill. With no deep training or methods to measure innate abilities accurately, Traits often went unnoticed or misunderstood.
"But I do," Matt said with a faint smirk.
"Huh?" Brian and Liam looked at him, their faces puzzled.
"I have a Skill," Matt clarified.
"A skill? you have a skill!" Brian said amazed, while Liam also looked at him in wonder. In this wonder if a Hunter awaken with a skill it means he is quite talented.
"My Skill is called Eye of the All-Knowing," Matt explained smoothly. "It lets me see your skills and potential."
"Wait, you can see our skills too?" Brian asked, his eyes widening with excitement.
"Exactly," Matt confirmed. "With my Skill, I can identify your abilities and help you develop them properly."
"No, I mean, if you can see our skills, that means we do have skills too!" Brian said, his eyes lighting up as he glanced at Liam, whose face mirrored his excitement.
"Alright then, tell us what you see!" Brian said eagerly, and Liam nodded in agreement.
Matt acted as if he is using his skill, glancing at both of them.
"You both have impressive Skills," Matt began. "Brian, your skill is called Red Tyrant. It's strength-based and perfectly suited for a warrior path."
Brian grinned proudly. "Hell yeah, that sounds awesome!"
Matt turned to Liam. "And Liam, your skill is Spirit Summoner. It's a peak A-rank skill that allows you to summon elemental spirits to fight by your side. You're destined for the mage path."
Liam's jaw dropped. "I can summon spirits? what are these?" he asked confused.
" we will found out, after summoning them" Matt shrugged as Liam nodded " So, that's why we are here to safely check out our skills" he said as Matt nodded.
" Don't worry we will protect you" Brain said with a cheeky smile looking at Matt.
"your skills aren't combat-oriented, so make sure to stay behind us," Brain said firmly. Liam nodded in agreement while Matt rolled his eyes slightly.
"I have other skills too," Matt added casually.
"Huh? You have more than one skill?" Brian asked, his tone filled with surprise. Liam's eyes widened, echoing the sentiment.
"Yes," Matt replied confidently, just as three more people arrived.
By law, a minimum team of six was required to enter any dungeon. The newcomers introduced themselves, all appearing to be either E-rank or D-rank Awakened.
