Chapter 117: : The Guardian’s Memory Trial

📘 Chapter 117

🌌 Scene 1: The Temple's Judgement

Inside the Guardian Temple, Zake and Naira stood at the threshold of a vast chamber, illuminated only by floating data runes pulsing in silver hues. At the center was a translucent cube, spinning slowly in midair—made of crystallized memory fragments.

"That's the Memory Core, isn't it?" Naira whispered.

Crixal nodded, his voice steady.

"It holds echoes of every wielder who's entered this temple. But beware—before it accepts you, it tests your past… and future."

The moment Zake touched it, the air shimmered. Reality distorted.

Suddenly, they were no longer in the temple.

They stood in the middle of a battlefield.

Smoke.

Screams.

And a young Zake—maybe 9 years old—clutching a rusted toy Mecha, crying beside a broken wall.

"This was… the day our parents died," Zake whispered.

He turned. His mother stood before him—alive. Smiling.

"Zake… do you still hate your weakness?"

He stepped toward her—but the image flickered.

She was no longer smiling.

She was bleeding. Reaching for help.

"You failed me."

Zake dropped to his knees, trembling.

"This isn't real…"

A voice boomed from the walls:

"Face your deepest guilt. Or be consumed by it."

🌿 Scene 2: Zui and the Heart Garden

Led by Verdion, Zui entered a hollow cavern underneath the jungle's glowing biome.

Inside bloomed the Heart Garden—an ancient field of flora whose petals shone like stars. In the middle was a giant flower with a mechanical core.

Verdion bowed.

"This is the Core Lily. A relic older than Krono itself. It can purify corrupted energy… but at a cost."

Zui approached it cautiously.

"What kind of cost?"

"It awakens what you've buried. It'll show you the pain you've denied."

The flower opened, engulfing her in light.

Suddenly, she saw herself—alone in a burning house, calling for her brothers.

Then… herself lying in a hospital bed, fearing they'd never return.

"You always smiled. But you were broken."

A ghost of herself reached out.

"You don't have to be strong all the time."

Zui cried—for the first time in years.

And the flower accepted her.

🔥 Scene 3: Zeron Awakens Part I of the True Mecha

Zeron ran through the crumbling ruins of the Outer Guild Facility.

Behind him—Voidheart Units. Tall, humanoid, with pale glowing cores—soulless. Dozens of them.

He turned and slammed his hand on the limiter watch.

"Don't fail me now."

But the limiter cracked.

A surge of Krono burst from his chest—purple so deep it looked black, and glowing like a dying star.

Suddenly, a sigil appeared beneath him—a summoning circle he had never seen before.

A Mecha formed behind him—massive, humanoid, plated in obsidian and violet circuitry, its face resembling a shattered crown.

"Is that—?" gasped Tovik from the distance.

Zeron climbed into it instinctively.

The interface recognized him.

Welcome, Wielder of the Fractured Flame. Unit 00-V: NEXAR activated.

Zeron's mind linked.

The world slowed.

The first Voidheart rushed him.

He dodged—and phased through it.

"Wait… I can bend space?"

He unleashed a single punch.

The enemy disintegrated.

His Mecha's power was incomplete—but enough to destroy a weapon-grade unit in one strike.

⚖️ Scene 4: Kael and Vance Discover the Director's Identity

Inside the Vault of Buried Memories, Kael and Vance followed a corridor lined with portraits of past leaders.

But one stood out.

A face… familiar.

The Director of the Guild.

"No," Kael muttered. "That's impossible."

"Zeron's father?"

A recorded message played.

"If you're hearing this… then I've failed."

The man in the hologram had gentle eyes. His voice cracked.

"We tried to save this world. But they made me turn on my own. I hid the Purple Krono… in my son."

Kael's mouth dropped open.

"Zeron has the legacy… of the Prime Director."

"And the enemies we face… were created by the Guild itself."

🛡️ Scene 5: The Council Collapses

Back at the main guild headquarters, chaos erupted.

News of Zeron's awakening.

News of the Director's betrayal.

News of the invasion preparing to descend with Phase II.

Council members split—some calling for Zeron's arrest. Others demanding Guild dissolution.

Sela, the youngest councilor, stood.

"We can't lead this world anymore. We've become what we swore to stop."

The Guild… fractured.
