My beautiful wife is a rich lady

Chapter 5: Chapter 5: The Night of Intertwined Fates

The night was as dark as ink, enveloping the entire city in its quiet shroud. The towering buildings, with their glass facades, reflected the flickering neon lights like countless indifferent eyes watching every soul wandering through the night. Eileen stood before the floor-to-ceiling window, holding a glass of still-warm red wine. The cool glass reflected her delicate yet slightly weary face. She took a gentle sip, the bitter liquid spreading across her tongue, mirroring the complexity in her heart.

"What are you thinking about?" Star's voice came from behind, soft and deep, like the only light in the dark night.

Eileen was startled for a moment, then chuckled softly, "What else? Lorne's appearance has disrupted everything."

Star walked forward and gently embraced her from behind, resting his chin on her shoulder, his warm breath brushing against her ear. "No matter what he does, I'll be by your side and never leave you."

Feeling the warmth of his embrace, Eileen's heart ached slightly as she whispered, "I'm afraid one day you'll regret it."

"How could I?" Star turned her around gently, gazing into her star-like, brilliant eyes tinged with sorrow. "For you, I'd fight the whole world."

The next day, Eileen was summoned by her family elders. In the spacious conference room with its cold decor, the atmosphere grew increasingly oppressive. Lorne sat across the table, a subtle, meaningful smile on his lips. "Eileen, if you don't cooperate, your dear Mr. Star might pay the price."

Eileen clenched her fists under the table, but her face remained calm. "Lorne, you're always threatening people. How boring."

As night fell, Eileen received an anonymous text: "Meet me at the dock tonight, or Star will be in danger."

The dock's night wind was biting. Eileen's long hair was tousled by the breeze as she fixed her sharp gaze on the yacht in the distance. Lorne stood on the deck, smiling as always. "Eileen, I've been waiting for you."

"Let Star go, or…" Eileen began, but Lorne raised an eyebrow, "Or what?"

Meanwhile, sensing something wrong, Star tracked Eileen's car and rushed to the dock. His heart pounded amid the wind and waves. He wouldn't let anyone hurt Eileen.

On the yacht, the confrontation between Eileen and Lorne intensified. Just as Lorne signaled his men to restrain Eileen, Star stormed in, fighting fiercely with Lorne's henchmen. His movements were swift and sharp, his eyes burning with determination to protect Eileen.

Eileen seized the chaos to break free, grabbing a metal rod to join the fight. Her swings were resolute, and together they subdued Lorne. As police sirens approached, Lorne was taken away, and Eileen fell into Star's arms, tears finally streaming down her cheeks.

"I'm afraid of losing you…"

Star gently stroked her hair and whispered in her ear, "With me here, no one can hurt you."

In the night breeze, their hearts clung tightly together, as the wheels of fate continued to turn, their love only growing stronger.

Star and Lorne's fight was intense and breathtaking. Lorne sneered, throwing a punch, but Star swiftly dodged and countered with a blow to Lorne's abdomen. Lorne groaned in pain but quickly grabbed Star's wrist, and they grappled fiercely. The night wind howled, waves crashing against the yacht, causing the deck to sway slightly.

"You think you can beat me?" Lorne gritted his teeth.

"I won't lose because I have someone I must protect," Star replied, twisting free and throwing Lorne off.

Lorne quickly drew a dagger, its blade glinting in the night. Star's eyes turned cold as he picked up an iron rod to block the attack, sparks flying. Their fists and kicks clashed, each strike full of strength and skill.

Eileen watched anxiously from the side. Suddenly, she saw Lorne signal his men to ambush Star. Without hesitation, she rushed in, delivering a knee strike to fend off the attacker. Star seized the chance to overpower Lorne, disarming him and pinning him to the deck.

"Game over, Lorne," Star said quietly.

The sound of approaching sirens filled the air, and lights illuminated the deck. Eileen ran to Star, tears in her eyes. "Are you hurt?"

Star gently shook his head, caressing her face. "I'm fine, as long as you're here."

Beneath the night sky, their figures intertwined in the flickering lights, vowing never to part.
