Naruto: To Hell This Suicide System

Chapter 104: [103] Breakdown

The Land of Wind, a place swirling with yellow sand.

Two figures cloaked in yellow garments appeared stealthily.

"This place is a storm of sand. Hard to believe Sunagakure built a village here." Tengen remarked, treading the gritty stone.

"Most of the Land of Wind is like this. They had no choice." Namikaze Minato shook his head.

"Compared to that, our Land of Fire is incredibly fortunate. Good thing I'm a Konoha-nin." Tengen said.

"Haha, lucky for us you're with Konoha. A prodigy like you would be a headache otherwise." Namikaze Minato laughed.

Pity for the Land of Wind? Perhaps Namikaze Minato felt some.

But he understood the reality between nations.

The ninja world thrived on survival of the fittest. Their duty was to protect friends, comrades, and their homeland.

Much like Tengen's past world.

In ancient times, invaders, whatever their reasons, were despised, unless they conquered the land.

In decades, no ninja nation had truly subdued the Five Great Nations.

Since villages formed and split into five powers, no one had fully conquered them.

Senju Hashirama and Uchiha Madara might have managed it once.

But Hashirama chose peace, leaving the ninja world with five mighty forces: the Five Great Nations, the Five Great Ninja Villages.

The Land of Fire's fertile lands fueled the other four villages' unrelenting desire to conquer it, even a piece would satisfy them.

To them, Konoha was a massive cake, perpetually tempting.

Yet, guarding this cake were countless forces. Other villages had been repelled before, but with time, the four coveting the Land of Fire regrouped their strength.

The scene shifted back to Namikaze Minato and Tengen.

"Still, we must tread carefully here. We're nearing Sunagakure's defense perimeter, and Suna-nins could spot us easily." Namikaze Minato cautioned.

"Hm, we might need to capture a Suna-nin for questioning. At least get a rough idea of their defenses." Tengen suggested.

"Good, let's do it." Namikaze Minato agreed with Tengen's plan.

Ordinary ninjas might not know the village leaders' plans, but if something big was afoot, even they'd catch wind of it.

Neither Minato nor Tengen could storm in recklessly; their goal was to uncover Sunagakure's recent moves or intentions.

Not to kill.

In Sunagakure's stronghold, two people couldn't take on the entire village. If their chakra ran dry, they'd be finished.

With the plan set, they sprang into action.

Soon, they spotted their target.

"This Suna-nin looks like an easy mark. But if we fight, the noise could draw others. If a ninja goes missing, they'll tighten security." Namikaze Minato eyed the figure in the distance.

"He's our best shot. He's patrolling alone, and from what we've seen, their guard shifts take time, maybe because peace has lasted too long." Tengen whispered.

"Hm, I can approach him silently, but an attack might cause a stir." Namikaze Minato said.

"Leave it to me. I'll use genjutsu to knock him out quietly." Tengen offered.

"Genjutsu?" Namikaze Minato nodded. Genjutsu caused minimal chakra disturbance and wouldn't alert the target.

"Then I'll use Flying Thunder God Technique to get us close." Namikaze Minato agreed.

"Minato, I've got something coming up that might shock you. Brace yourself." Tengen warned, looking at him.

Yes, Tengen was about to use the Sharingan.

As his power grew, he gradually revealed his abilities.

Neither Danzo nor the Uchiha clan intimidated Tengen anymore, and with time, he'd only grow stronger.

"No problem." Namikaze Minato took a deep breath, steadying himself.

"Alright." Under Minato's curious gaze, Tengen slowly opened his eyes.

Blood-red eyes, three tomoe spinning within, the Three-Tomoe Sharingan.

"The Three-Tomoe Sharingan!" Namikaze Minato's frame jolted, but Tengen's warning kept him composed.

He knew now wasn't the time for questions; capturing the Suna-nin came first.

"Tengen, ready." Namikaze Minato flung a kunai, which shot forward in a flash.

In an instant, they reached the target. Under the Suna-nin's puzzled stare, two figures appeared.

The last thing the ninja saw was a pair of blood-red eyes before slipping into unconsciousness.

Tengen and Namikaze Minato swiftly left the area.

Time to interrogate this Suna-nin about Sunagakure's situation.

At a safe distance, Namikaze Minato gave Tengen an odd look.

"Minato, got something to ask?" Tengen said.

"Are you from the Uchiha clan?" Namikaze Minato asked, bewildered. Seeing Tengen's Three-Tomoe Sharingan shattered his worldview.

This was what a genius looked like?

At that moment, Namikaze Minato felt the same awe Jiraiya had when Tengen mastered the Rasengan in record time.

A nine-year-old with Jonin strength, skilled in taijutsu, kenjutsu, ninjutsu, and now a kekkei genkai, how was anyone supposed to compete?

"Of course not. It just awakened one day. What can I do?" Tengen shrugged.

"Damn it." Namikaze Minato cursed. "Tengen, I'm jealous. Looks like some Uchiha blood in your ancestry resurfaced."

"Oh, is that so?" Tengen shrugged again.

"Can you not be so casual about it?" Namikaze Minato felt like spitting blood.

Now he understood how his teacher, Jiraiya, felt.

"Teacher Jiraiya, Tengen really is a monster."
