Chapter 475 After Part 2
"System Creation," I muttered as I created a new system in my mind. The old system was now gone, but it was alright because I could create my own with my current power.
Creating a system with the right knowledge was much easier that I expected.
First, I created the operating system and then embedded it into the soul. By doing so, the system would be powered by the soul itself, and with time, it would grow stronger and more powerful.
When I referred to the soul, it wasn't in the conventional sense where a person dies and has a soul.
In this context, the soul was more like the code of that person.
Reality was akin to a program, and when a person died, they didn't just vanish into thin air; they simply became part of the code of reality again.
The only way to completely destroy a code was if a being existed outside the program itself.
For instance, when I was in the temporal realm, the universes I observed were like computers, and because I was outside of them, I could completely destroy them.
But how does the soul power the system?
At first, I thought it was through devouring other soul(codes) around me, but upon reflection, the answer was much simpler: happiness.
Essentially, by growing stronger and experiencing satisfaction, the soul becomes stronger, and the system harnesses this power.
However, the system I'm creating right now was different. If my old system was created to make me strong , then this system was built to actually limit my Soul.
That's right. I was intentionally nerfing myself because too much information running through my mind was really annoying.
It would be alright for a short period of time, but if I maintained this state for years, it was bound to affect me.
[Neurolink System Created]
[Skill: Limit Created]
"This feels better," I chuckled aloud. I felt more alive and more human now.
The information overload and my accelerated brain activities were no longer an issue at all.
'Now I can enjoy life more,' I added with a smile.
This was the life I had dreamed of in the first place. I'm not some silly protagonist who would sacrifice everything in the name of gaining more power.
I already achieved more than that, and it didn't bring me happiness at all. Even the being who gave me the system in the first place chose to vanish rather than keep on existing.
That was the point when I realized that the existence of a godlike figure was not impossible, not because of something like reaching it was too hard, but more in the psychological sense.
A godlike figure, in the end, would choose to vanish because of how boring its existence would be.
And I sure as hell would not want that to happen to me.
After everything was done, I picked up my phone and started scrolling through it. I also locked my mind computer because it made my life too easy.
'Oh, interesting,'I muttered to myself as I read the news.
A new organization was formed to combat the threat of the alien monsters, calling themselves the United Power.
It was comprised of 12 leaders from different powerful families worldwide.
The families had changed their strategy, openly presenting themselves as the saviors of mankind, rather than playing chess with each other behind the shadows. The threat of the monsters must have knocked some sense into them.
But honestly, I couldn't care less about this UP thing.
What intrigued me was Shao Mi. I expected her to have a seat, but for some reason, she wasn't part of it.
If it was the old me, I wouldn't pay much attention to this childish play, but seeing such blatant discrimination made me want to play a little joke.
Of course, I wouldn't just go over there and beat them up.
That would be boring.
Playing a game with cheats would ruin the gameplay. And since I'm already a cheat character, I have to make sure not to win too easily.
'Alright, I'll visit my girls first, then think of my next step from there,' I decided.
I locked on the location of Seoul, Korea, because I'm currently in Japan.
I've been thinking about it, but perhaps my soul was too addicted to anime, and even subconsciously it influenced my choice of possessing a new body. That's the only explanation I could think of.
'Talk about addiction to an extreme level,' I muttered to myself.
Even though I could have visited Yuki first, I was more concerned about my girls in the building since they lacked the ability to protect themselves.
Checking on them first was my priority.
*BLINK
This time, my long-distance teleportation had no delay; it was instant. My vision also no longer turned dark; I simply changed scenery and found myself inside my office.
The office was as I remembered it, with large windows that let in plenty of natural light, brightening the space.
The sunlight streamed through the glass, casting warm rays across the room and illuminating every corner.
The view outside the windows offered a glimpse of the bustling city below, with cars zipping by and people going about their daily lives.
'Where are they?' I thought to myself .
As I closed my eyes and extended my senses, I could feel the familiar presence of my girls scattered throughout the building, safe and secure.
However, something piqued my curiosity: Elaine and Kanon were together in a meeting room, surrounded by individuals who were definitely gifteds.
Their presence intrigued me, and I couldn't help but wonder what they were discussing.
I refrained from immediately teleporting to the meeting room.
Instead, I chose to eavesdrop on their conversation from the shadows, observing every detail as the scene unfolded before me.
"I told you, we won't hand you this building!" Elaine retorted defiantly.
'Oh, who are these guys?' I thought to myself. It was rare for Elaine to get this frustrated.
"I've told you time and time again, the acquisition of this building was made through illegal means, so you have to hand it back to us," a man wearing a white suit spoke with an arrogant tone. His blonde hair added to his haughty and smug look.
