Chapter 14: Chapter 14: Golden Lion Shiki.
A massive island floated in the sky, resembling a city among the clouds—magnificent beyond compare.
"Hahaha, the soul of Whitebeard died at Marineford, what a shame!"
"This time, the old man's going to destroy the East Blue for sure, and maybe even the Holy Land, Mary Geoise."
"Hahaha..."
From the ruined palace, crazed roars echoed—sometimes laughter, sometimes sobbing—as if the man inside was unraveling.
Outside the hall, a group of pirates stood idle, casting indifferent glances toward the main building. It was clear they were used to this chaos.
"There he goes again. I wonder how long this episode will last?"
"Who knows. He was fine before, but ever since Whitebeard fell at Marineford, the captain's mind has been slipping further."
"Yeah, life's been rough ever since."
From their conversation, it was clear: this floating island belonged to the Flying Pirate—the Golden Lion.
A living legend, once ranked alongside Gol D. Roger and Whitebeard.
But fate had never been kind to him. Compared to the other two, his influence had dwindled into obscurity.

Below the island, hovering over the sea—
"Captain, there's an island above."
"Oh?"
"If I'm not mistaken, that's the Golden Lion's floating island."
"Golden Lion... I almost forgot about him."
On deck, Kaelen's eyes snapped open at Robin's words.
The Golden Lion possessed the powers of the [Float-Float Fruit], a Paramecia that allowed him to manipulate gravity and levitate objects—granting him incredible versatility in combat and terrain control.
Robin hadn't mentioned it earlier—perhaps she didn't think it was important at the time.
Once you encountered a man like that, it was hard to forget.
Kaelen Tsukishiro stirred from his idle posture and stood, stretching.
"Golden Lion or not, let's go see for ourselves."
"Besides, this is my first time seeing an island floating in the air."
Kaelen looked at Robin. "Coming with me, or staying aboard?"
Robin hesitated for a moment, then nodded.
"I'll go with you."
The mystery of this island intrigued her. It didn't feel abandoned.
"Hold on."
Grasping her waist, Kaelen's body ignited in flames as he shot into the sky.
"This is..."
Robin's eyes widened. She instinctively grabbed his arm before calming herself.
A flicker of awe passed through her.
"The [Shock Fruit], the [Shadow Fruit], and now the [Flame Fruit]... What kind of monster is he?"
She'd been traveling with Kaelen for several days now, and the deeper she looked, the more bottomless he appeared.
"Maybe what he said before was true... the strongest man in the world..."
'And how could someone like that not be handsome?'
Kaelen caught her sideways glance and flashed a grin.
"Ahem."
Robin rolled her eyes, clearly annoyed.
"Annoying."
Her usual cool demeanor was slipping around him.
There was something about his rhythm—something she couldn't help but want to match.
The floating island drew closer.
"Incredible... an island this massive, floating in the sky."
Landing on the edge, Kaelen looked around and muttered, "Wouldn't want to fall off this thing."
Robin's cold voice cut through the air, "That would be a fitting end for someone reckless."
Kaelen smirked. Venomous, as always.
Without another word, he turned his eyes toward the massive hall at the center of the island and strode forward.
This had to be the Golden Lion's lair.
Even after being defeated by Luffy, he hadn't abandoned the East Blue.
"Poor guy. Once the terror of the seas, now reduced to madness after being taken down by a rookie... though that fight had its share of surprises."
Kaelen sighed inwardly.
At the Battle of God valley decades ago, the Golden Lion was crushed by a storm that changed everything.
Had fate twisted differently, Roger's crew might've been the ones to lose.
And later, against Luffy, it was misfortune again. The Golden Lion had been defeated by someone who didn't even use Haki.
"Who are you?! How did you get on this island?!"
"Stop right there!"
As Kaelen and Robin neared the hall, the pirates stationed outside drew weapons and shouted.
Kaelen's expression darkened. The lazy aura vanished, and in its place, something fierce emerged—like a divine blade unsheathing.
An overwhelming surge of Haki radiated from him.
The air shimmered.
His Conqueror's Haki rolled out in waves, engulfing the island.
Above them, clouds tore open as though raked by invisible claws.
The pirates stiffened. Eyes rolled back, bodies dropped.
"Wha—Who the hell is that?!"
From within the hall came a roar, followed by an opposing blast of Haki.
The two forces collided, shaking the sky.
The floating island trembled as a violent pressure spread across it. Cracks spiderwebbed beneath their feet.
The already ruined palace began to crumble.
And in the midst of it all—only three figures remained standing.
"Golden Lion, come out and face us!"
Kaelen's voice rang through the chaos as he withdrew his Haki.
Floating from the ruins came a blond old man, with half a rudder still embedded in his head. The image was comical, but the Haki pouring off him was anything but.
This was the Flying Pirate himself.
The man who once stood beside legends.
"So, it's you... you arrogant little brat."
