Since this clash severely disrupted Kalos' ecosystem, Zygarde emerged in its Complete Form to end the conflict, utterly overpowering both Xerneas and Yveltal.

As for the crystal itself—Zygarde didn't care about it at all.

Zygarde was the guardian of balance, tasked with defending the ecosystem.

Rayquaza protected the planet from external threats—Zygarde ensured internal stability—like an immune system eliminating viruses.
