Chapter 3: The Battle That Shook the World
The world of Pokémon was vast—spanning regions, leagues, battle facilities, and legendary trainers—but there was one name on everyone's lips.
Ash Ketchum vs. Red.
What started as a rumor had spread like wildfire. Across every region, from the bustling cities of Unova to the deep forests of Sinnoh, trainers were talking.
The Battle of Legends was coming.
Kanto – The Heart of the Legend
At Professor Oak's lab in Pallet Town, the phones wouldn't stop ringing. Reporters, trainers, even Professors from other regions were calling to confirm the news.
"Is it true, Professor? Ash is really going to challenge Red?"
Professor Oak leaned back in his chair, rubbing his temples. Even he wasn't sure how to answer. He turned to his grandson, who sat with his arms crossed, watching the news feed on his Pokégear.
A commentator's voice rang out:
"In an unprecedented event, World Champion Ash Ketchum is rumored to be heading for Mt. Silver to battle Kanto's greatest legend, Red! Many are calling this the biggest match in Pokémon history!"
Blue smirked. "Heh. So the kid finally made it."
Professor Oak sighed. "I had a feeling this day would come. Ash's goal was never just to be Champion… he was always searching for something greater."
Blue's expression turned serious. "Yeah. But battling Red isn't just some 'final test.' Ash doesn't realize what he's walking into."
Professor Oak's gaze drifted toward the sky.
"No… but he's about to find out."
Galar – The Reigning Champion
In Wyndon Stadium, the arena that once crowned Ash as World Champion, Leon stood watching a massive screen broadcasting the news.
Beside him, Raihan let out a whistle. "Man, this is insane. Two legends, head-to-head, no restrictions? I gotta see this."
Leon crossed his arms, his cape flowing behind him. His serious gaze never left the screen.
"Red was the strongest before my time. Ash is the strongest now. But the real question is—"*
He grinned, eyes burning with excitement.
"Who's gonna be stronger when they collide?"
Sinnoh – The Unshakable Champion
Deep in the Sinnoh Battle Tower, Cynthia sat in the Champion's lounge, sipping tea while watching the news. Across from her, Elite Four member Flint leaned forward, his hands clenched.
"This battle is gonna be legendary," Flint said, barely able to contain his excitement. "Cynthia, who do you think wins?"
Cynthia set down her cup, her golden eyes thoughtful. "It's difficult to say. Red was a trainer who reached perfection through solitude. Ash reached perfection through experience. It's a battle between two very different strengths."
Flint grinned. "So… you don't know?"
Cynthia smirked. "No. And that's what makes it exciting."
Hoenn – The Tactical Mastermind
In Ever Grande City, the Hoenn Champion Steven Stone stood in the Pokémon League headquarters, watching a live discussion.
On-screen, Battle Frontier owner Scott was speaking enthusiastically.
"In all my years watching trainers, I've never seen anything like this! Both Ash and Red have mastered every form of battle gimmick—Mega Evolution, Z-Moves, even Gigantamax! This is going to be the most technically advanced battle of all time!"
Steven smiled to himself. "A battle where anything goes… That means the only limit is how far their Pokémon can go."
Beside him, Wallace laughed. "It's a battle of titans, Steven! I wouldn't miss it for the world!"
Unova – The Rising Star's Perspective
At Nimbasa City's Battle Subway, the former Champion Iris watched a group of trainers debating furiously.
"Ash has the advantage! He's battled across so many regions!"
"No way! Red's been training in isolation! His Pokémon must be at an insane level!"
Iris grinned, her arms crossed. "I wonder… will experience win, or will raw power?"
Standing beside her, Drayden, the Dragon-type Master, let out a low chuckle.
"No matter who wins, history will be made."
Alola – The Champion's Homeland
At Professor Kukui's lab in Melemele Island, a group of students huddled around the TV, watching highlights of Ash's past battles.
"Yo, Professor, can Ash really beat Red?"
Kukui chuckled. "Heh… Ash has pulled off some crazy wins before. But Red's a different kind of beast."
Beside him, Kahuna Hala nodded. "This battle will show the world what it truly means to be a Pokémon Master."
Johto – The Closest to the Battle
Meanwhile, at Ecruteak City's Bell Tower, an old monk gazed toward the distant peak of Mt. Silver.
"A great storm is coming," he murmured.
Beside him, Ethan, Johto's former Champion, tightened his gloves.
"I have to see this for myself."
He turned, heading toward the Mt. Silver pass, where many trainers had already gathered—waiting for history to be written.
The World Watches
From the Battle Tree in Alola to the Elite Four chambers of Kalos, from every Battle Tower to every small Pokémon Gym, one thing was certain:
The world would stop to witness this battle.
And high atop Mt. Silver, standing in the frozen winds, Red waited.
His Pikachu sparked. His Poké Balls were ready.
Far below, Ash Ketchum climbed higher, a grin on his face, his eyes burning with excitement.
The battle that would decide everything was about to begin.
