Pokémon Legends: Ash vs. Red

Chapter 4: The World Tunes In

A sharp hum cut through the icy winds of Mt. Silver as a sleek, high-tech drone zipped through the sky, its twin Rotom engines crackling with electricity. The drone's red-and-blue body, marked with the official emblems of both the Pokémon Masters League (PML) and the Pokémon World Coronation (PWC), gleamed under the faint sunlight.

This was no ordinary broadcast.

This was history.

The Pokémon Masters League (PML) Headquarters – Pasio

In the state-of-the-art PML Command Center, Lear, the league's eccentric founder, leaned forward in his throne-like chair, watching multiple holographic screens as the Rotom Drone relayed live footage of Mt. Silver's peak.

"Ahaha! Now this is the kind of battle that will make Pasio tremble! The world will be watching this clash of titans!"

Standing beside him, Professor Bellis adjusted her glasses, monitoring the energy readings.

"It's incredible… Just the two of them being in the same place is causing a massive surge in battle energy. If they go all out with Mega Evolution, Z-Moves, and Dynamax…"

Her voice trailed off as a flashing warning appeared on the screen. The power levels were off the charts.

"We may witness the strongest Pokémon battle ever recorded."

Lear grinned. "Then let the world see it."

He gestured to his staff.

"Boost the signal! Every trainer on Pasio, and beyond, is going to witness this legendary clash!"

Pokémon World Coronation Headquarters – Galar

At the heart of Wyndon Stadium, where Ash had once claimed victory over Leon, the PWC Grand Council had gathered. Elite trainers, former Champions, and league officials from every region watched as the Rotom Drone fed real-time footage of Ash nearing the peak.

"To think… a battle like this would happen outside the PWC," one official murmured.

Chairman Rose's successor, a sharp-eyed woman named Marina, nodded.

"This is beyond competition. This is a battle for the very definition of strength."

Leon, standing at the center of the room, smirked as he crossed his arms.

"Ash… You really don't know how to slow down, do you?"

Beside him, Raihan let out a whistle. "Mate, if this battle doesn't break the internet, nothing will."

The Galar Broadcasting Network was already prepping a worldwide livestream. Across every Pokémon Center, every Gym, and even within battle facilities like the Battle Tower and the Battle Subway, screens flickered as the official Pokémon League broadcast began.

The Rotom Drone – A Sky-High Witness

The Rotom Drone zipped through the blizzard, its cameras zooming in on Ash, who was now only minutes away from the peak. Snow clung to his jacket, his breath visible in the cold air, but his grin never wavered.

"Almost there, buddy," he said, adjusting his hat.

"Pika!" Pikachu's cheeks sparked in excitement.

The drone scanned ahead, locking onto its second target.

Standing at the peak, facing the storm with an unshakable presence, was Red.

The signal relayed across the world. Every Champion, every Elite Four, every former rival—everyone—was now watching.

Across the World – The Battle Begins

🔥 In Kanto, Professor Oak's lab was packed with trainers, their eyes glued to the screen.

🔥 In Sinnoh, Cynthia sat with her arms crossed, watching intently.

🔥 In Alola, Kukui and Hala stood with their students, cheering.

🔥 In Unova, the Battle Subway halted operations, the conductors allowing passengers to stay aboard just to watch the broadcast.

🔥 In Johto, Ethan stood at the base of Mt. Silver, watching the drone's footage on his Pokégear.

🔥 In Kalos, the Lumiose Gym displayed the battle on its giant outdoor screens, where a crowd had gathered.

The whole world was watching.

Mt. Silver – The Final Steps

The Rotom Drone hovered between Ash and Red, scanning them both.

🔴 Opponent: Red – Record: Undefeated

🔵 Challenger: Ash Ketchum – Record: World Champion

The data flashed across thousands of screens. The battle was officially recognized—an unsanctioned but legendary match.

Ash stopped walking, standing just a few feet away from Red, who hadn't moved an inch. The silence between them was deafening.

The drone beeped, activating its broadcast feature.

[GLOBAL LIVE FEED ACTIVE – COMMENCING INTERVIEW]

A robotic voice crackled through the speakers.

"Challenger Ash Ketchum, do you have any words before the battle?"

Ash grinned, his breath still visible in the cold air.

"Yeah. I've been waiting my whole life for this."

Pikachu sparked, eyes locked on Red's Pikachu.

"Let's give the world a battle they'll never forget!"

The drone turned toward Red.

"Opponent Red, do you have any words before the battle?"

Red remained silent. His gloved hand moved to his belt, gripping a Poké Ball.

The wind howled.

And then—he tossed it forward.

Charizard emerged, roaring into the blizzard.

The drone's feed glitched momentarily from the sheer pressure of Red's presence.

The world held its breath.

Ash smirked, taking out his own Poké Ball.

"Alright, Charizard—let's go!"

With a flash of light, Ash's Charizard burst onto the battlefield.

The Rotom Drone hovered higher, locking onto both Pokémon.

The cameras zoomed in. The feed reached peak viewership.

And then—

BOOM!

Both Charizards ignited the battlefield with fire, and the world exploded in cheers, shock, and awe.

The Battle of Legends had begun.
