Pokemon: My Fate System Is Too Overpowered!!

Chapter 16: Chapter 15: Gold Destiny—A Future Champion’s Bagon

"Aoi, let's go."

Ryuu turned to Aoi's side, completely ignoring Arata.

"Ryuu, you're amazing! You completely crushed that guy from Tokyo Second High in just a few moves!"

Aoi's eyes sparkled with admiration. She had always known Ryuu was strong, but after watching him battle today, she couldn't help but find him even more impressive. His confidence, his precision—everything about him was captivating.

Meanwhile, Arata clenched his fists. Losing so fast was already humiliating, but hearing Aoi praise Ryuu right in front of him made it sting even more.

"Ryuu, are you planning to have another battle?" Aoi asked as they walked side by side, looking like the perfect pair.

"Nah, I want to check out the upper floors."

Ryuu hadn't forgotten his real goal—finding valuable Destinies. Training Froakie was just a bonus. What he truly wanted was to track down a high-level opportunity. Ideally, something beyond Blue Destiny.

If he could find Gold Destiny, that would be perfect.

The upper floors of the Trainer's Battle Arena were different from the ones below. They weren't just for casual battles—they were where elite-level trainers tested their strength. The higher the floor, the stronger the opponents and the more valuable the Pokémon being trained.

Of course, everything came at a cost. The materials used to construct these arenas were expensive, and even just renting a battlefield required a hefty fee.

Being a Trainer meant always being broke, but Ryuu wasn't worried. As someone from a prestigious Elite family, money was the least of his concerns.

He arrived on the second floor first, scanning the crowd.

Green Destinies. Blue Destinies.

Not bad, but… not what he wanted.

There wasn't a single Purple Destiny, let alone Red or Gold.

"Let's check the third floor."

Aoi followed him silently, not asking any questions. She didn't care about battling—her real goal was to support Ryuu. If he needed someone to train and breed Pokémon for him, she wanted to be that person.

The third floor was on a different level entirely.

The moment Ryuu stepped in, something flashed in his vision—

A golden light.

"Gold Destiny!"

His heart pounded. He had hoped to find something valuable, but he never expected to see a Gold Destiny right away!

Without hesitation, Ryuu activated his ability and checked it immediately.

> [Destiny Holder: Arashi Takeshi]

[Gold Destiny: Five days from now, a Bagon with Champion-Level Potential will appear at the Mystic Zone of Wandering Falls.]

Ryuu's eyes widened.

If he hadn't found this, Arashi Takeshi would have captured that Bagon for himself and eventually raised it into a Champion-Level Salamence.

In this world, even something like Caterpie could technically have Champion Potential, but that didn't mean anything. Bagon's base stats were on another level.

For someone like him—who knew exactly where to go—this was an opportunity he couldn't miss.

Five days from now. Mystic Zone—Wandering Falls.

Ryuu memorized the location instantly.

A small Mystic Zone about the size of a city, the Wandering Falls was one of the easier places to explore. It had lush forests, and at its center, a massive waterfall, where Pokémon often gathered.

Bagon was going to be right there.

"Looks like I'm heading out tomorrow."

Ryuu grinned. There was no way he was letting Arashi Takeshi take that Bagon.

That Pokémon belonged to him now.

But Then—Another Destiny Appeared.

Just as he was about to leave, another thread of light caught his attention—

This time, it was Purple Destiny.

Ryuu's excitement grew.

Purple wasn't as game-changing as Gold, but it was still extremely valuable.

He activated his ability again—

> [Destiny Holder: Yukari Itsuki]

[Purple Destiny: Seven days from now, a Magnet Fragment will be found at the Mystic Zone of Wandering Falls.]

This was huge.

Items known as "Elemental Relics" were incredibly rare in this world. They had the power to enhance Pokémon's natural abilities—and Magnet was one of the strongest relics for Electric-types.

Even though this was only a fragment, it was still priceless.

His father, Fujiwara Daiki, had never even seen a Magnet Fragment in his entire career as a top-tier Elite Trainer. If Ryuu could get his hands on it, his father's Electivire might be able to break past its current limits and step into the Champion level.

Two massive opportunities.

Bagon with Champion Potential.

A Magnet Fragment for his father.

Both appearing at Wandering Falls.

There was only one thing left to do—

Ryuu locked in the coordinates with his system.

With this, he wouldn't have to waste time later—he could just follow the exact location immediately.

"Aoi, let's go check the streets."

They had already seen what they needed in the arena. If there was any other Destiny waiting for him, it would be out in the city.

Evening.

The sun was setting when Ryuu finally returned home.

In one afternoon, he had only found two valuable Destinies—but honestly, that was already more than enough.

"Ryuu, I'm heading home!"

Aoi waved as she walked toward her house. Their homes weren't far apart—just a single street separated them.

"See you tomorrow."

Ryuu watched her leave, the golden sunset casting long shadows across the pavement.

After a moment, he pushed open the doors to the Fujiwara Gym.

But Before He Could Say Anything—

"Son, I saw you with Aoi! When's the wedding?"

Fujiwara Daiki's grinning face appeared in front of him.

Ryuu's expression darkened instantly.

"Can you not."

"Don't mess with my son!"

Sumire pulled Daiki away, giving him a sharp look before turning to Ryuu with a gentle smile.

"Ryuu, are you tired? Dinner's already ready. You should eat first."

At the mention of food, Ryuu's stomach rumbled.

"Yeah, I'm starving."

For now, he would rest.

Tomorrow, the real hunt would begin.
