Reincarnated into a World Filled with Dungeons, But My Blessing Turned Out to Be the Most Challenging Dungeon

Chapter 46

“Alright, we’ll rest here for today.”

After a full day of traversing the dungeon, Thomas made that call. The reason was simple—there was a perfectly suitable room for it.

Dungeons occasionally formed such spaces. While it wasn’t entirely free of monsters, as long as the entrance was guarded, sneak attacks could be prevented. More importantly, unlike the rest of the dungeon, where the terrain was rough and uneven, these rooms had smooth floors, making them ideal for lying down and getting some proper rest.

We had descended about four levels today. The monsters had grown stronger each time, but our party had steadily proven its strength, eliminating every threat along the way.

And so, with today’s exploration concluded and our camp for the night decided, we all began unpacking food and taking a well-earned break.

“We’ve made more progress than expected.”

“Yeah, it’s surprising.”

The two warriors—one male, one female—started chatting. They seemed to get along quite well. I couldn’t help but sense some romantic tension between them…

Just as I was picking up on those love comedy vibes, Thomas, having finished a perimeter check, returned.

“Erik, how’s your fatigue?”

“I haven’t been fighting, just following along, so I’m perfectly fine.”

Though I had been collecting every item dropped by the monsters, I stored them instantly into The World upon touching them. The speed had shocked Thomas and the others at first, but once I demonstrated how my storage skill worked, they accepted it without issue.

“I see… For beginners, this pace would normally be quite harsh. But with how efficiently you’ve been collecting drops, we might reach the boss room by tomorrow.”

Thomas reviewed the map once more. The resting spot was marked on it, suggesting he had anticipated this stop.

Now that he mentioned it, we had indeed been moving at a fast pace. While the three front-liners and the archer seemed fine, the female mage and the healer, who had been watching over me, often looked out of breath.

Since we were settling in for the night, I decided to make a suggestion.

“I actually have a spell I’d like to use on everyone.”

At my words, the warriors, the archer, Thomas, and the two women turned their attention to me.

“A spell? I thought your blessing was just the item box?”

Thomas looked intrigued. I nodded.

“I actually have a skill that lets me use the magic Clean. It removes dirt and grime from the body. I can’t end the day without using it, or I just don’t feel comfortable. Since I’d feel bad being the only one refreshed, I thought I’d offer it to everyone.”

I managed to bring it up naturally. Back when I was with Roberto and the others, I had agonized over how to introduce it. But by framing it as my own selfish preference, it should be easier to accept.

After all, the party had been fighting in a dungeon all day and were undeniably filthy.

“I’ll demonstrate on myself first… Clean.”

In the next instant, a faint steam rose from my body as all the dirt and sweat vanished, leaving a refreshing sensation behind.

“Whoa… That’s incredible. You’ll cast this on us too?”

I immediately used Clean on Thomas.

“This is… addictive. It feels like the fatigue of the day just melted away.”

His armor gleamed, and his sharp features looked even more refreshed.

“Everyone, line up to get cleaned.”

Following his command, I cast the spell on each member in turn.

“Thank you, Erik.”

The female healer and mage expressed their gratitude.

They had stayed close to me, keeping watch during fights, so I responded with a smile.

“I’m just happy to see you both looking clean and refreshed.”

Now that they were free of dirt, they even smelled pleasant. Their faces, now unobscured by grime, were undeniably beautiful.

“Oh my, how adorable! Captain, can we take this one home?”

“Hey, that’s unfair!”

For some reason, they both hugged me from either side.

“Hey, you two! Don’t go teasing an innocent boy.”

Thomas stepped in to break it up, likely noticing the confusion on my face.

But then, his expression turned serious as he stared at me.

“That being said… this blessing and skill of yours would be invaluable for a party.”

There was something calculating in his gaze, as if he was seriously considering something regarding me.
