Chapter 417: Crude Work
"Come in," Xu Feng soft and tranquil resounded upon hearing OneManMedia's arrival.
Shortly after entering, OneManMedia nervously found a seat for himself and sat down.
Despite the fact that Xu Feng was occupied in the system interface, there was a palpable sense of pressure slamming on him.
"Why are you so nervous?" Xu Feng closed his messages and turned to him, only to realize he was actually shaking a lot in his body. Experience more on empire
If they didn't know anything better, then one might have mistaken him for spasming out and required medical attention.
"Nervous? No, I'm not nervous." Laughing awkwardly, OneManMedia hurriedly shook his head.
"I'm just excited to be able to partake in such a large-scale raid. No one had attempted it yet, and thus far, they only tried the 50-man raid dungeon, but failed miserably even at the Easy Mode."
"Is that so?" Xu Feng nodded, clearly still skeptical but decided not to pursue the matter.
Such scenery wasn't common back when he was at the top management level either.
People simply found themselves astounded or overwhelmed with fear when interacting with him. Otherwise, those damnable people wouldn't have told him through voice message that he was eliminated on the run rather than directly telling him in person.
"Anyway, did you have everything set up properly?" Xu Feng asked.
"Yes, I have everything set up, along with a subtle change of the guild's logo designed by Carmen," OneManMedia reported, feeling quite petrified at the moment.
Changing a guild's logo design was considered taboo, especially when done without the Guild Leader's permission. He was worried about getting retaliated upon.
However, Xu Feng merely nodded in approval. "Well, Carmen did say she will refine it to look more professional, and she's the expert in this aspect."
As if he had just dodged a fast bullet, OneManMedia breathed a sigh of relief while inwardly annoyed by Carmen's prank for not informing him in advance that he had been notified already.
"Ehm, is that all you want to hear, Guild Leader?" OneManMedia inquired, unsure of his presence here.
"Ah right, once most of the important individuals that won the slots arrive, you will turn on the livestream. As for the title, you can think of it yourself but the content is the gist of the large-scale raid I'm going to do along with some strategy."
"We're revealing our strategy in the livestream?"
Astonished, OneManMedia nearly choked on his own saliva.
It was fine livestreaming the raid process, but to livestream the strategy and planning was equivalent to selling out their trade secrets for free.
No one would be foolish enough to commit such an amateur mistake.
"Guild Leader, if we reveal our strategy, then others could easily copy us and proceed to raid the dungeon using our method." OneManMedia gritted his teeth and warned, voicing his opinion regardless of potential scolding.
Not offended by the questioning of his implementation, Xu Feng mused in response, "Oh, and here I thought you would continue to act timid."
"Guild Leader…please." OneManMedia frowned at his prank. "You shouldn't prank me like this."
"I never planned on pranking you though." Xu Feng chuckled and crossed his legs. "Did you forget the conversation you had with Cool Wind already?"
"Conversation?" Initially confused, OneManMedia soon recalled the discussion he had previously in the real world at Apex Tower.
"You mean we're really proceeding with that method of charging viewers first before they could actually see anything?"
Baffled, OneManMedia seriously never planned on proceeding with the method, having thought Cool Wind was playing with fire.
Hence, he planned on snitching Cool Wind's ridiculous method to the guild leader, only to realize the two were equally lunatics.
"Cool Wind is equivalent to my right hand and his authority is only slightly beneath mine." Xu Feng said solemnly and tapped his fingers on the armrest of the chair. "Get this matter done right now."
"Yes, boss." Without a choice, OneManMedia quickly scrambled to make the changes.
And right at this moment, the door opened with Monica bringing in two female guests. "Boss, I brought these two here who stated you wished to meet them in advance. They have your pass, so I led them here."
Monica bowed and relayed the event, returning the pass to Xu Feng.
The pass was a simple item made with crude material, but it was a very important item of the Vanguard guild. After all, the pass was like a clearance token to many of the restricted areas of the Vanguard-owned businesses.
Of course, this specific pass only allowed one-time entry to the third floor of the Vanguard Shop.
"Good work," Xu Feng nodded and deleted the pass using the system interface of disintegrate. This pass was crafted by him and sent to Autumn Breeze through a trade window earlier to prevent her from nagging him.
Now that she had arrived at the third floor in advance, the pass was naturally useless, especially when it was for one-time use which lost its effect the moment it went to Monica's hand.
"You really are getting more and more mysterious, Guild Leader Lin Feng." Autumn Breeze exclaimed after witnessing such an advanced and unique feature when meeting guests.
"I second that." Gentle Wind nodded her head in agreement. She had thought the gap between their guilds had closed a bit, but reality showed her a different side.
A one-time clearance pass… just how was Xu Feng able to craft it and have an NPC verify it?
Back in Dawnshire City, she had also tried to employ some NPCs, but when compared to the ones Xu Feng hired, those she attempted to employ were a laughable bunch. The disparity was so huge that she even regretted spending a little bit to test their usefulness.
"Okay, let's not be amazed by crude work done at the last minute." Xu Feng chuckled and gestured his hand, signaling for them to take a seat.
"C-Crude work?" Both Gentle Wind and Autumn Breeze twitched their mouths as they glanced at each other. For some reason, they suddenly felt an intense urge to strangle him on the spot. There had to be a limit to boasting, right?
