Chapter 804: Request
"Lucifer, don't think too much about it, okay? And take care of yourself," Lilith said to Lucifer after bidding goodbye and getting up to teleport back to her mansion.
Lucifer nodded and then said while looking at her, "You too. Take care of yourself. And if anything happens, you know that my doors are always open, right?"
"I know," Lilith smiled and said in a whisper.
Lucifer also curved up his lips just a little in response. And in the next second, she vanished from his sight.
The moment Lilith disappeared, Lucifer lay flat on the platform and then stared at the ceiling. Slowly, a painting depicting the most tragic day of his life started to take life on the surface of that ceiling.
He could see his daughter falling down after getting hit by the ice spear. He could also see himself shouting and holding out his hand toward his daughter.
The painting suddenly started to move. His painting started to shed tears in agony. His figure flew down to catch Mackenzie's body in midair. However, yet another figure appeared on the ceiling. It was Michael.
Michael's figure flew towards Lucifer's figure while producing yet another ice spear. And the figure shot that spear at the back of Lucifer's figure.
"Lucifer…"
A melancholic voice suddenly tore apart the dead silence in the throne hall.
"Oh, for hell's sake!" Theodore sighed and then walked towards the platform where Lucifer was lying like a child. He looked at his brother and then asked after offering a hand, "Why are you sleeping on the floor, brother? Get up!"
Lucifer's heart warmed up a little after seeing his younger brother. He gave a soft smile and mumbled, "Hello, baby brother!"
"Don't hello me! First, get up from the dirty floor!" Theodore frowned and leaned even further to grab Lucifer's hand himself. And then he helped Lucifer to get up from the platform.
Lucifer pulled his hand away and patted beside him. "Come, sit down," he said and then gave a thankful look to Theodore. "Thank you for coming here on such short notice, Theodore."
Theodore knitted his brows together and said after scoffing, "What are you even saying? You don't have to thank me for coming here, you dumbass. You are my brother, and also my King." He chuckled and then said to Lucifer while looking into his red eyes, "You have the right to boss me around."
"So, tell me," Theodore looked serious when he asked, "What is it? Why did you summon me here?" He slightly narrowed his eyes and made a guess, "Did Damien perhaps… say something to you?"
"Yes." Lucifer took a deep breath in an attempt to control the anger that was bubbling inside his heart again. However, he couldn't do so. He clenched his fist and said in a low growling voice, "Damien told me about my daughter. And he also said how Michael had almost murdered her for the second time."
"Oh, crap!" That was the first thought that crossed Theodore's mind.
"He told you everything that happened yesterday?" Theodore repeated what Lucifer had said.
Lucifer nodded his head and then turned his head to face Theodore. He carefully looked at Theodore's face and then said, "But I think I didn't hear everything, after all. How's his jaw? Michael's?"
Theodore clenched his teeth and then angrily mumbled in response, "I bet his jaw is still in a good condition because I didn't get to smash it. He was already back in Heaven by the time I found out what he had tried to do."

"I'm really sorry that he is still the same shitty bastard that he was thousands of years ago," Lucifer said to Theodore while gently patting his brother's knee. "I don't know where he gets the courage to even think about killing his own nieces. And I don't know how he sleeps at night."
Lucifer scoffed, he was subconsciously digging his claws into his palms when he mumbled, "Does he even reflect on what he did when he goes to sleep, or at any other time? How does he not feel guilty? Even I feel guilty at times when I have to punish a soul even when I know that they are all sinners! But he on the other hand is built differently."
"I doubt that he ever feels guilty." A disgusted look lingered on Theodore's face when he said, "He even used his own son to get his nasty things done – like ordering him to kill my daughter! That was his loophole to escape the punishment from our father."
"Right! Father…" Lucifer closed his eyes and said while chuckling, "Like always, father must have looked the other way, right? Michael is his perfect and his favorite son after all."
Theodore furrowed his brows and asked Lucifer, "Didn't Damien tell you? This time, it looks like Michael pulled the last straw on our father. He removed Michael from his position as the Chief Prince."
Lucifer abruptly opened his eyes and looked at Theodore with a stunned look on his face. "Did you just say that Michael isn't the Chief Prince of Heaven anymore?"
"Yes… That's exactly what I said." Theodore smirked at Lucifer. "He must be losing his wits right now. And to add to his insult, our father appointed his son as the Chief Prince. I don't think he has ever felt this humiliated in his life before."
Lucifer had a sense of satisfaction reflected on his face. "Good enough for now," he grumbled although he still thought that Michael should have been banished from the Heaven realm.
"But that shameless thing can still come down to the Earth realm to end what he started. Now that he is already punished, he might have become even more fearless and carefree." Lucifer gave a serious look to Theodore and said, "You should be careful. Don't let him come anywhere near Ariel."
Theodore nodded his head and replied, "I know. That's why I have been following Ariel very closely."
"And…" Lucifer took a deep breath and asked Theodore, "The reason why I called you here is to ask you a favor. Will you also look after Joyce? I don't know whether Michael knows or not, but if he knew that she is my daughter's reincarnation, I'm afraid that he will come after her as well… just out of spite towards me."
Theodore narrowed his eyes as though he had just realized that. He immediately patted Lucifer and consolingly said, "I will look out for her. She's my niece, you know, even in this life. So, I already care about her. You don't have to worry. I will do my best to keep her out of harm's way."
