Chapter 5: Welcome To The Interdimensional Chat
13th November, 1994
It has been nearly a month since he started playing with Warhammer 40K, and boy was it a blast. Shinji, for the first time since forever, felt joy and contentment at playing the games mortal muggles played. He enjoyed the moments where he had to paint the small figurines in the colour of their specific chapters (his favourite being the Ultramarines, for they were the smart ones). He enjoyed arguing with William (the one who gave him his initial figurine), and swearing like a sailor when his units got conquered by the opposing forces.
By far, his favourite race to play with was, quite surprisingly, the Necrons. Despite the Aeldari having access to the most potent forms of magic, it was the tin cans that had the capability to mould the Galaxy to their image. Despite being from one of the most prominent magic families of Fuyuki, even he had to kneel at the might of the Necrons.
Shattering their Gods into their power sources...
Changing time and fate on their whims...
Destroying stars with a touch of their fingers...
These feats led Shinji to have an awe-inspired view upon them, wishing they really existed, him as their leader.
With them under my command, I could rule the Universe!

Life went on, days passing by quickly. As the Holy Grail war began, Shinji slowly realised that his time playing Warhammer 40K was numbered, for he knew once there was a winner, he would have to return back to Japan. Back to the dreary place called...
Home
Mood dampened, he trudged as slowly as possible, unwilling to let time run out. William, seeing his friend upset, did not know what was going on behind the scenes, but knew the kid needed time for himself. "Kid, I don't know what's going on, and I don't think you're gonna tell me, so I'll just give one piece of advice: go to the heareets park, find a bench, and take a seat. The calm views always helps in clearing your mind, at least for me that is..."
His eyes lighting up, Shinji thanked him, before running to Bristen park.

Sitting along the river, he felt his mind grow clearer than ever, his worries fading into the twilight. As he lay breathing the cool, yet murky, crisp air, his thoughts led him towards thinking about his home. I wish this lasted forever. No more grandpa, no more magic, no more shouldering- OWWWWW!
Suddenly, he felt a sharp pain in his head. It was so great that he knelt on the floor, clutching his head tightly. Just as he felt he could no longer hold it in, the pain quickly faded.

[Ding! Welcome, host, to the chat room of the multiverse. I am the owner, and have decided to create a platform of sorts to allow people from all kinds of universes to interact with each other. You will also be given missions to complete, and if done successfully, bountiful rewards shall be granted to you. Users can also post their own quests, but the rewards for them shall be provided by the user themselves. Unable to provide adequate rewards shall result in the system intervening on their behalf, and the punishment shall be meted out. You do not want to know what it is...]
Shinji gulped in fear at the 'punishment' clause. He did not want to find out what it was...
Ignoring him, the explanation continued on-
[Users can also gain random daily points ranging from 1-1000 every day, which can be collected and used as currency for the lottery. The lottery details are as shown below:
100 P - Bronze Chest
1,000 P - Silver Chest
10,000 P - Gold Chest
100,000 P - Diamond Chest
1,000,000 - Rainbow Chest
The rewards are also categorised in classes of their own. More can be found in the manual, which is situated on the top left of your screen. The second member of the group has been found, and they shall be joining now. As the first member of the group, you have the privilege of travelling to other worlds, but they can't. This will remain as the status quo until further updates are given. Thank you, and I wish you all the best...]
With a quiet pop, the system vanishes. Just as Shinji wanted to ask more questions, another ding came. Curious, he went to the chat room, where another person joined.
[Prissy Loser: H-hello? Who are you?]
What kind of fucking name is this!?
Before Shinji could swear at the system for calling him such an uncouth name, the new member replied immediately.
[The Avenging Son: What on Terra is this!? What wretched sorcery have you cast now, Tzeentch!? Was tormenting my brother Magnus not enough for you!? Have you no shame after destroying Father's vision of the Great Crusade!?]
Umm, okay...?
