Chapter 1250: Final battle with demons (10)

When the explosions settled, the Dullahans appeared while covered in dark energy.

Even though they had been hit head on by the explosions, they had been able to create the barriers of dark energy before they were hit.

The flame breaths and spells that hit them were blocked by the dark energy barrier, but there were cracks and holes in the dark energy barriers. After all, these barriers had been gathered in haste and weren't as strong as they could have been, so they had been breached by these attacks that should have been weaker than the Dullahan.

In the places where the dark energy barrier had been breached, there were marks that were on the body of the Dullahans.

It seemed that they had suffered some damage because of these attacks that rained down on them.

However, it also seemed like the damages that they suffered wasn't serious enough that it would affect them long term.

The dark energy that was around them seemed to seep into those injuries and were slowly healing the Dullahans.

The Dullahans were also undead, which meant that they had the same ability as the rest of the undead where they were able to heal themselves.

That meant that unless there was something that purified them, there wasn't a way to kill them permanently. Or at least unless they ran out of the dark energy, they wouldn't die permanently.

For them to run out of this dark energy, it would have to be consumed by them being injured again and again.

While the Dullahans were healing, there were more elemental energy slashes that came at them from all directions. There were these Death Knights that wielded the elemental energy that were attacking the Dullahans without stopping in an attempt to stop them from healing.

It was just that the dark energy shield of the Dullahan was just too strong for it to be destroyed that easily.

All of the elemental energy slashes that hit the barrier were scattered in an instant by it.

However, none of the Death Knights stopped.

After a while, the Dullahan suddenly raised a hand that was covered in this dark energy and pointed its palm out at one of the Death Knights. With the way that it reached out like this, it was almost as if it was trying to control the Death Knight.

When it did this, the Death Knight suddenly stopped moving.

It was as if there was some kind of strange force that had frozen it in place.

The Dullahan started to move closer to the Death Knight while it was doing this, as if it was getting closer to put pressure on the Death Knight.

When it was almost right in front of the Death Knight, the Death Knight suddenly started moving again and slashed up at it. This was something that Dullahan just didn't expect at all, so it completely caught the Dullahan off guard.

The elemental energy slash hit the Dullahan right in the chest and it was pushed back two steps. At the same time, there were burns that appeared on the chest armour of the Dullahan since it was a fire elemental slash that hit it.

Even then, the Dullahan began to heal.

However, the Dullahan was visibly shocked by the fact that the Death Knight had resisted its pressure.

What the Dullahan had been trying to do was suppress this Death Knight with the natural pressure that it had on inferior undead. The Dullahan was a higher grade undead, so it should be able to command the lower grade undead with just its pressure alone.

This Death Knight should have been one of those lower grade undead that it was able to command.

But this wasn't the case as Death Knight seemed to resist that pressure completely.

So the flaming eyes of the Dullahan couldn't help shaking in shock.

How did it resist the pressure?

Death Knights shouldn't be able to do something like this as low grade S Rank Monsters. But of course, this Death Knight was different.

This Death Knight was one that had received the same treatment as the undead monsters.

This Death Knight and the others that surrounded the Dullahan, the ones that used the elemental energy were all different from normal Death Knights because they received the orb that was filled with elemental energy.

Like with the undead monsters that received the elemental energy, they now had the ability to use the elemental energy in their attacks and in other ways.

But the biggest change was that their grades had actually increased.

It was the natural pressure that they had on the other undead, even Death Knights of the same level would feel this pressure from them.

Based on what I had tested, these Death Knights with elemental energy were on the same level as Joan when it came to their natural pressure. That meant that they were at the same grade as the Dullahan, even if they weren't as strong as the Dullahan.

Since that was the case, it was only natural that the Dullahan wouldn't be able to use the pressure to make these Death Knights submit.

However, that alone wouldn't be enough to take down this Dullahan.

The other Death Knights continued slashing at the Dullahan with the elemental energy slashes, but the dark energy barrier protected the Dullahan from this. It was just that the Dullahan wasn't able to fight properly when it was attacked like this.

The only thing that it could do was...

"Roar!"

When the Dullahan gave this muffled roar, the other Death Knights that had been idle stopped remaining idle and turned to face the Elemental Death Knights.

They raised their weapons as if they were about to attack.

But once again, there were flame breaths and spells that rained down on them.

The Dullahans didn't care about this as they pointed at the Elemental Death Knights like they

were giving orders for the Death Knights to finish them off.

All except one Dullahan that made a strange sound.
