This was a sound that seemed to be filled with pain.

That was because there was something that had penetrated through the chest of the Dullahan and was currently causing smoke to come from that wound.

It was strange in the first place that a Dullahan as an undead would be able to feel pain, but that just went to show how special the thing that had hit it was.

This was a root that had suddenly come out of the ground that pierced right through the chest armour of the Dullahan. It had pierced in the place where there was a burn mark left behind.

With the way that the root had pierced through the chest armour, it was almost as if that chest armour was made of paper rather than actual metal.

But that wasn't the fault of the chest armour, it was just a testament of how strong this root was.

After all, this root was made from divine power.

The thing that the undead feared the most was holy energy and divine energy was at a level that was even beyond holy energy. That was why the Dullahan's armour provided no resistance at all towards this root.

The Dullahan roared in pain, but its arms continued moving upwards.

Even the arm that was holding the head was moving up towards the root.

With the way that it was moving its hand up, it seemed that it was trying to grab the root that was sticking out of its chest and it was trying to pull it out.

However, this root wasn't the only root that came out of the ground.

This was just the biggest one out of all the roots that came out, there were other smaller roots that also came out of the ground with this large one.

Unlike the biggest one that pierced right through the chest of the Dullahan, these ones didn't attack the Dullahan. Instead, they just reached up out of the ground and started grabbing at the parts of the Dullahan.

With the way that they grabbed the limbs of the Dullahan, it was as if they were just trying to stop it from grabbing the big root.

When the roots grabbed at the Dullahan, there was a similar smoke that came from the body of the Dullahan.

That was because these roots were made of the same divine energy as the biggest root. That meant that these roots had the same purification ability as the biggest root, though it didn't seem that it was as strong as the biggest root.

The Dullahan just couldn't do a single thing against all of these roots that were grabbing at it. Even when it tried summoning the Death Knights under its command to save it, it didn't make a difference.

That was because the Elemental Death Knights were more than a match for the ordinary Death Knights.

Even if they didn't reach the same level of power as the Dullahan, they were still more powerful than normal Death Knights after having this elemental energy imbued into them.

Eventually, it seemed that the Dullahan completely ran out of power as it dropped its head onto the ground and slumped to its knees.

There was a root that came out of the ground that suddenly smashed down on the head of the Dullahan that had been dropped to the ground. Once it was smashed, the flames in the eyes of the head that represented the life of the Dullahan were extinguished.

With this one smash, the Dullahan started to disappear.

It seemed that it had finally been purified.

All that was left was the Death Knights that were under the control of the Dullahan.

They were dealt with by holy magic.

They weren't hit with the same divine energy roots that had taken care of the Dullahan, but rather there was an airship that rained down holy magic on the Death Knights.

The Elemental Death Knights cut the normal Death Knights up and then they were purified by the holy magic that came from the airship.

No one had noticed this airship since they were more focused on the other things, but it had been hiding among the wyverns the entire time. It was just that the wyverns attracted far more attention than the airship.

In this airship, Chris looked at Leon with a bitter smile and asked, "Did you ever think that we would be in this situation one day?"

Leon turned and shook his head with a similar bitter smile.

But even though the others on the airship felt the same way, they didn't stop casting their holy magic at the Death Knights under them.

This airship had a squad of priests and holy knights, so the holy magic that they cast wasn't weak.

In no time at all, they were able to clear out this group of Death Knights.

When they were freed from dealing with these Death Knights, the Elemental Death Knights immediately headed off in a different direction. They went off in the direction of the Dullahans that remained.

There were four Dullahans that were left, so each of the Elemental Death Knights head off for one of them.

The demons that had been watching couldn't remain watching any longer.

They had been on guard of anything that might happen, but it was already too late for them to be this cautious still. After all, it seemed like the Dullahans and the Death Knights wouldn't be able to last.

They didn't know where these enemies came from, but they knew that they had to do something to help the Dullahans before it was too late. If they didn't do anything, then it was only a matter of time before they lost this trump card.

So the demons started to move some of their forces to help the Dullahans and the Death Knights.

But the moment that they did, there were attacks that rained down on them.
