Chapter 96: Chapter 96: Tailed Beast One Tail Shukaku, The Masked Army Arrives
Time flew by, and a month had passed.
Inside Urahara Shop.
Tessai Tsukabishi, while returning items to the shelves for what felt like the eighth time that day, finally lost his patience. He frowned deeply as the sound of roaring echoed from beneath the floorboards.
"Manager, how much longer are those guys going to keep training in the basement!?"
Over the past few weeks, Tessai had been suffering.
The constant noise from below—day and night—had made it nearly impossible to rest. Sometimes, the roaring continued late into the night, robbing him of sleep completely.
He absentmindedly touched his receding hairline, letting out a quiet sigh.
Hair loss at my age... Lack of sleep isn't helping.
Urahara Kisuke, sporting visible dark circles under his eyes, glanced at him with a weary smile.
"Then why don't you go down there and make them stop?"
Tessai went silent.
If he could stop them, he would've done it long ago.
Still rubbing his forehead, he finally muttered:
"I'll find someone else to talk to him..."
Meanwhile, in the basement.
Nanaya was calmly sitting in a chair, sipping tea while watching Sado Yasutora throwing powerful punches in the training area.
Without even turning his head, he said:
"Tier, refill the teapot."
Beside him, a tall, blonde woman narrowed her eyes at him in annoyance.
"You really treat me like an actual maid now, don't you, you brat?"
The woman was Tier Harribel—formerly one of the most powerful Arrancar in Hueco Mundo.
After Yoruichi had returned from Soul Society, Harribel had regained her senses. But she still couldn't match Nanaya's strength.
Unable to beat him, she'd ended up sticking around—reduced to a maid-like assistant.
Though she was bitter about it, Nanaya hadn't been wrong to keep her around. Even in the original timeline, the Gotei 13 hadn't killed her—proof that she could change.
Nanaya glanced sideways and said casually:
"Unless you'd prefer another beating?"
Harribel gritted her teeth but said nothing.
She'd already been beaten multiple times during training. Even using her Resurrección wasn't enough. He'd used Susanoo to overpower her and humiliate her.
With a huff, she pointed her zanpakutō toward the teapot, using her abilities to fill it with clean, clear water.
Not far away, Rukia Kuchiki finished her sword drills and wiped sweat from her forehead.
"Qiye, I think I'm done for now," she said."So when are we going back to Hueco Mundo?"
Over the past month, Nanaya had used his Kamui ability to transport the group between the real world and Hueco Mundo.
They trained in the human world, then fought in Hueco Mundo.
It was harsh—but their strength had improved drastically. Rukia, like the others, was eager to return to the battlefield and continue sharpening her skills.
"Soon," Nanaya replied after a brief pause."Kyouya Palace seems to have stirred something up. Last time we were nearly caught by Aizen's forces."
The memory made Rukia shudder slightly.
As they were leaving the Menos Forest during their last visit, they'd sensed multiple terrifying Reiatsu approaching—each one as strong as Captain Komamura's.
Nanaya later explained that it was a full-scale deployment from Las Noches.
Aizen, Gin Ichimaru, and several high-level Arrancar Menos Grandes had appeared together.
"Got it," Rukia nodded. She wasn't reckless—just determined.
Her spiritual power had grown a lot recently. She was close to achieving Bankai.
Just a bit more pressure, and she knew she could reach it.
Then, a thought struck her.
"But Nanaya... don't you need to train too?" she asked, looking over at him with a puzzled expression.
She'd noticed that he hadn't been doing much physical training lately. It almost seemed like he was slacking off.
Nanaya didn't answer at first.
He closed his eyes.
Within his inner world, a massive creature stirred—roaring violently.
A grin crept onto Nanaya's face.
"I've been training in my own way," he said calmly."Just not in a way you can see."
While everyone else had been focused on physical training, Nanaya had been absorbing spiritual energy from both Soul Society and Hueco Mundo—switching between worlds using Kamui.
The spiritual power was so intense that it had started fusing into his Rinnegan, triggering a new evolution.
And deep within him, something new had formed.
Not a tailed beast from the Naruto world—this was different.
It was a creature born from both Shinigami and Hollow energy.
A unique tailed beast, created from his own power.
The being inside Nanaya was similar to the Hollow known as White that lived inside Ichigo Kurosaki.
But unlike White, this creature had no consciousness or reason. It was sealed deep inside Nanaya, endlessly roaring without rest. He had no control over it at all.
Yet, something about its presence seemed to be pushing his Rinnegan toward a new evolution.
It was clear—he was meant to form all nine tailed beasts eventually.
As for how to control them… Nanaya already had a plan in mind.
With a slight smile, he walked over to Rukia Kuchiki, who was still catching her breath after training. Wrapping an arm around her, he said playfully:
"Rukia, you must be tired after all that practice. Want to rest with me for a while?"
Her face turned bright red. She struggled and protested:
"N-No! I'm not tired yet… and it's still daytime! Mmm—!"
Before she could finish, Nanaya lifted her up effortlessly.
"Nope. I think you are."
Rukia covered her face in embarrassment.
"You idiot! Tier is right here!"
Tier Harribel, who had been silently standing nearby, rolled her eyes.
"Don't worry. Human mating rituals don't interest me."
"Oh really?" Nanaya teased."Then which 'maid' was it that once said she'd have a baby with me?"
Harribel clenched her teeth in fury.
Before she could reply, Nanaya smirked and said:
"Alright, we're off."
"Kamui."
The space in front of them twisted into a spiral, and just like that, Nanaya and a blushing Rukia disappeared into the vortex.
The next day, at dusk.
Back in Urahara's basement, Harribel glanced at Nanaya.
"Where's Rukia? I haven't seen her since yesterday."
Nanaya's lips curled into a small grin, clearly amused.
He remembered the way Rukia kept begging him to stop.
"Her legs are a bit weak. She'll be down in a few hours."
Still confused, Harribel frowned.
"Legs… weak?"
She turned to Nel, who stood beside her in her more mature form.
"Does mating really cause your legs to weaken?"
Nel put a finger to her chin and thought aloud:
"Not sure… but didn't you say you wanted to mate with Nanaya, Tia? You can let me know what it feels like later."
"Don't ever bring that up again!" Harribel snapped, her face red with embarrassment. That strange period, when her mind had been forcibly altered, was still the most humiliating memory of her life.
Just then, Kurosaki Ichigo and his group arrived.
While everyone was still training, the basement doors creaked open and several unfamiliar figures stepped in.
"Yo, Ichigo! Long time no see!"
At the front stood a man with yellow hair and a laid-back attitude—Hirako Shinji.
"It's you!" Ichigo said, recognizing him right away. This was the strange man who'd been secretly observing him not long ago.
Behind him, Urahara Kisuke and Tessai Tsukabishi entered.
Clearing his throat, Urahara introduced the newcomers to Nanaya.
"Everyone, these people were once part of the Gotei 13—former Shinigami captains and lieutenants."
"This is Hirako Shinji, former Captain of Squad 5. Muguruma Kensei, former Captain of Squad 9. And Sarugaki Hiyori, once the lieutenant of Squad 12."
He continued with a serious tone:
"They're all victims of Aizen's experiments. A hundred years ago, they were tricked and infected with Hollow powers..."
After the brief introduction, Urahara smiled and added:
"They're here to help Ichigo with his Hollow problem. After all, controlling Hollow power isn't easy."
Tessai quickly chimed in, clearly impatient:
"That's right! Nanaya, Ichigo, Uryuu—you should all go train with them. They've been through this themselves and have learned how to master their Hollow side."
Really, Tessai just wanted peace and quiet—finally a chance to get a full night's sleep.
But before Nanaya could say anything, Muguruma Kensei—tall, muscular, and silver-haired—spoke up with interest.
He scanned the room, then said bluntly:
"So, who's this Nanaya I've heard about? Word is you're strong—strong enough to fight captains. Wanna spar with me?"
