SSS Ranked Reincarnation: Dark Dragon Legacy

Chapter 303: Three months

The journey continued quietly through the path in the Devil rabbit territory. They moved at a steady pace while keeping completely off the sides. No one wanted to fight a hundred thousand rabbits; that's crazy work.

They didn't speak much anymore as they went along, just a short chit-chat every now and then, and then everyone would go back quiet.

"Uhghh, I don't know how travelers do this. I could reach the empire in hours, or even less if I push it," Simva suddenly complained. He looked out the back of the carriage, watching the road as they went.

"You've been too fast-paced for a long time, bro, so taking things slow like this isn't your style," Aaron spoke from the front.

"Also, stop complaining. You made us use this method," Dawn said.

"I know, I know, but still, it's crazy slow and boring," Silva said.

"You could kick up a storm and make the rabbits attack us," Aaron said with a laugh. The others laughed as well, taking it as a joke, but Fay saw that Silva wasn't laughing. Rather, he was looking at the field.

Fay quickly tapped Lia and Sage and pointed at Silva. Sage immediately got up and pulled Silva's face away from the field. Enjoy exclusive chapters from My Virtual Library Empire

"We are not going to fight thousands of rabbits because you're bored. Get it out of your head now," she spoke in an elder sister tone. Sure, she was weaker than Silva, but she was still his elder sister.

"Uhgggg, I could probably handle all of them myself," Silva said.

"Unless you can give us a definite certainty that you can easily defeat all the rabbits without even one coming our way, we won't let you," Sage said.

"I could use my domain and trap them in," Silva said.

"Why are you suddenly dumb, Silva? I've heard about your domain from Lily. It's ten kilometers large, right? This field, as you said, stretches for over a hundred kilometers. There's no way it will cover all," Lia said.

"I can ask one of my close to do it. Their domain would be bigger than mine, like ten times. That should be able to cover," Silva said.

"No way are we allowing you to create a large hundred-kilometer dome that will probably be high into the sky. Aren't we supposed to be ordinary adventurers now?" Sage asked.

"Bro, you have to listen to them on this one. Your boredom is making you make the wrong decisions right now," Aaron said.

"Fine, I won't try to bring them out to fight," Silva said and folded his arms, still glancing at the field. Everyone saw that and let out a tired sigh.

Leah suddenly spoke. "Silva, if what I know is correct, the day we receive our blessings and curses is in three months, right?" she asked.

Simva looked at her and nodded. "In three months, you'll need to go to the heroes, and I'll need to go to the demon kings.

I don't know exactly what will happen when we receive it, but I'm certain that we will never be the same after it. I've met with a demon king and a hero now, and they all have something in common.

They lack genuine free will, or so I think. It's like they are the free beings, the unchained, the ones that could do what they want when they want.

But in reality, it doesn't seem to be so. I don't know how to put it well into details, but we will have to be careful about the whole becoming heroes and demon kings. It might turn us into what we are not," he said and looked away.

"There are so many questions that I want answers to, but there is no one to really answer them for me, no one to tell me what is what and what is not," Silva said.

"I see, but no matter what happens, I'll never turn against you or be against you," Leah said.

"Thank you, Leah. Let's hope we can make that true," Silva responded.

"Speaking on the whole blood moon stuff and curses and blessings, you said we only have three months, and we will probably use the next few weeks traveling to the empire, so what about the mission?" Lia asked.

"Well, that means we have about two months to find out what we need to find out. It may not be a lot of time, but if we play our cards well, it will work out.

Aside from even the blood moon, there is also the issue of the Dark Dragon kingdom. We have a big target on our backs, and it's only a matter of time before the empire makes a move or the holy kingdom.

No one wants a king held by their enemy to stay in their place for too long. Because of the difficulty of government agreement, we have had enough time to stay in their home, but that will soon come to an end when they reach an agreement.

And that will mean war against us, on a full scale that is. Either we are wiped away or we survive," Silva said, pointing out the coming issues of war.

"So what about you? They aren't allowed to touch you after all," Lia said.

"Well, yeah. Destroying the kingdom is not exactly touching me, and they can destroy the kingdom because it's their land, but they can't touch me.

It's as simple as that, though I'm not planning to let them take down my kingdom in any way, and that's why we have been preparing," Silva said.

"Preparing? Do you mean the normal training that the army does?" Lia asked.

"Nope, far from that. Drake, Lily, and I have been working on some things in preparation for the war. I'll not tell you any details though, and they are a surprise for the right time.

Just know that even if the war comes in hot, we will be giving it back to them hot as well," Silva said, an evil smile hung from his face.
