STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer

Chapter 293: Convincing Gisela Reyes!

Night house:

Ron and Nora Night were digesting the information. They had no idea that their son had been facing such threats. Nora Night was scared.

Normally, people wouldn't act against families related to the Human Alliance, such as the City Governor's family. But he was shocked to learn that there were forces out there trying to kill his son.

He refused to believe that they hadn't checked any background information. It only showed that the forces trying to kill his son were not afraid of the Human Alliance.

It's quite possible that they have their connection in the Human Alliance as well. He figured out the seriousness of the matter.

Nora Night didn't know what was going on. As far as she knew, her son hadn't offended anyone. Then why were people targeting him? The news about the STRIKER Department came as a surprise as well.

She was surprised to learn that there were families going against the Dean of Central University 14.

"Jeremy, is this true?" Ron asked his son.

Jeremy nodded and replied, "It's true. I guess you were already contacted by the City Police Captain Nathan not long ago."

"Yes, Captain Nathan contacted me. But I didn't expect this matter to be so serious," Ron said.

Nora was taken aback by surprise because she didn't know about the police matter. Her husband had hidden things from her.

"Alright, there is no point in worrying about that. Your son is part of our Shadow Moon Organization now. Those people after him can't do anything against him," Gisela assured them.

Then both Ron and Nora exchanged looks before thanking her. They now knew that their son was safe right now. The top 10 zones are completely different in terms of infrastructure and resources.

The organization members look after each other. The Mercenary Organizations in the 14th zone are weak compared to the top 10 zones.

"Jeremy Night, your parents agreed. Are you ready to leave?"

"There is no point in staying at the university. You can already fight across levels. If you want to study more, there are many public and private libraries in the 10th zone."

"You can visit them whenever you want," Gisela said.

Jeremy's eyes gleamed with excitement. He was ready to leave. It's just that the sudden departure was causing a sense of loss. He didn't know whether it was okay to leave without informing the Department members.

He knew that after his departure, the STRIKER Department was going to collapse.

Suddenly, Ron thought of something before saying, "Lord, I have a small request."

"What is it?" Gisela asked.

"We will send him after the end of this year. In this way, we would not make things difficult for the Dean of Central University 14."

"She has put a lot of money and effort into this new department. From next year onwards, the department could be run like other departments."

"But if he leaves right away, the department will collapse. It will then endanger the lives of his other two classmates," Ron said in a solemn tone.

But his words jolted Jeremy Night, who was thinking about himself. If something bad happened to Daniel Stone and Betsy Lowe, it would haunt him forever.

"Team leader, I'll come after finishing things here," Jeremy said to her.

Gisela Reyes raised her eyebrows. From the intel report earlier, she knew about the exact situation. But she put Jeremy's safety first. If Jeremy decided to stay here, then he might have to face continuous attacks.

"Are you sure?" Gisela asked.

"These people with bad intentions will continue to target you," Gisela said.

Ron and Nora Night's hearts sank. They knew about the dangers. But still, Ron Night thought that it wasn't good to stab the back of Dean Carolyn right now.

"Team leader, I'm confident I can take care of myself. It's just I don't want anything bad to happen to my family," Jeremy said.

"Your father is already a city governor. No one would target him unless they are crazy. But then you have to be prepared for everything."

"Well, since you are confident, you can leave whenever you want. But after making a decision, inform me. I'll take care of your residency matters."

"In case your family wants to live in the 10th zone, I can make arrangements for that as well," Gisela said.

Ron and Nora Night thanked her for this opportunity. But they didn't have plans right now to leave city C.

Jeremy Night thanked her for her understanding. He thought it was too heartless to ditch the university in this time of need.

After speaking for a few minutes, Gisela decided to leave. She was going out alone. Her work here was complete. She had successfully recruited Jeremy Night into her organization.

It wouldn't be long before Jeremy Night started working in her team. That day wouldn't be far away. After going back, she was going to have a serious talk with the founder.

She was planning to arrange for people to protect Jeremy Night. Since Jeremy Night had become their member, it was their job to protect each other's backs.

Gisela left the place. Instead of using flight, she used her flight ability to move in mid-air.

Back in the living room, the family of three was sitting. Their expressions were serious.

"You two have kept important things from me," Nora Night complained all of a sudden.

Jeremy felt a headache. He forgot that his mother was hearing about this news for the first time. He could understand that she was still in shock.

"Mother, I didn't want to make you worry. In the meantime, I have been working on ways to leave the city. But I didn't expect to catch the eyes of the Shadow Moon Organization," Jeremy said.

"It's good that you have made the right decision," Nora replied, trying to hide her worries and sadness.

Ron Night thought about something before asking, "I can understand your decision about joining the Shadow Moon Organization."

"But what about your Lifeline beast? Didn't she ask about it?" he added.

Nora came back to her senses as well.

Jeremy looked at them before starting to explain the contract details. He had made an exclusive condition.

A few minutes later,

Ron and Nora sighed in relief. They didn't expect their son to be careful even in this situation.

"It's good that you didn't forget about Lord Martha's warning," Ron said in a solemn tone.

"I know. It's just that Team Leader Gisela thinks my lifeline beast has high Bloodline power. That's why I'm making such conditions," Jeremy said with a smile.

"It's good. Don't let anyone know about it," Ron advised.

Then the family started to have a serious discussion. Jeremy thought that the discussion about the killer was over. But he understood that his parents wanted to know everything.

Apart from the Goldcorp organization, he decided to reveal everything about the University politics.

Then Jeremy started to tell them about the senior students' behavior towards their junior students. How they forced the first-year students to harass the STRIKER Department members.

Then there was the pressure from the Beast Taming Families of the senior students. They were acting on their own to send out mercenaries to teach him a lesson.

He continued to tell everything, including the involvement of City Police Captain Nathan. Some of the senior students' parents have close connections with the City Administration.

This revelation had caused a delay in the investigation. Captain Nathan couldn't accuse them without evidence. But ever since that day, all the attacks against him had stopped.

Jeremy told them that Dean Jerome had filed a complaint against them at the Human Alliance. Only then did he see relief on his parents' faces.

About 10 minutes later,

Ron and Nora exchanged looks. Compared to earlier, they were quite calm now. They had understood everything now.

"So it's the big beast-taming families that are the real problem. Captain Nathan conveyed something similar that day. But he didn't reveal everything to me," Ron Night said.

"No wonder they were able to act recklessly. In City A, these families hold considerable power. If all of them worked together against someone, then it's a real headache."

"Even the City Governors won't be able to solve it. You said one of the parents works for City Governor Elton. Then you did the right thing by not escalating," Nora said from the side.

Her earlier worries were gone. Now she was thinking with a clear mind.

"Sigh!"

Jeremy let out a deep sigh.

"I didn't expect one department could land me in deep trouble," Jeremy said with a helpless smile.

He noticed that both of their expressions had improved compared to before. He knew why. The Beast Taming Families were based in City A. They couldn't hurt him if he went to the 10th zone.

But the Goldcorp Organization was something different. They had business that spanned across different zones. If he told them right now, they would be scared.

Even he didn't know whether the Shadow Moon Organization was strong enough to stop them.

Team Leader Gisela Reyes had only mentioned the Beast Taming Families but not the Goldcorp Organization.

Jeremy frowned, thinking Team Leader Gisela hadn't made any mistake. Because no one knew about his actions against the Goldcorp organization.

It had happened during the rat beast invasion. Goldcorp has been dealing with him since then.
