STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer

Wilderness:

Jeremy walks up to the ground lizard. When he got closer, a few steps away from it. He unsheathed his katana blade.

Then he started to cover the blade with starlight energy. His actions alerted the ground lizard which was observing a moment ago.

The Ground Lizard set its gaze on the enemy. Its body is similar to Jeremy's height. But its strength can completely overwhelm the Beast Tamer and the Corrupted Beasts below Tier-2.

Charles' mouth curves into an arc. He wants to see the body of a newcomer flying back and then landing on the ground.

Sinag is looking at the scene. She knew what would happen next. Senior Charles would be disappointed. But she hopes that this won't trigger him more.

Ada is closely watching as well. She was surprised by the fact that Jeremy didn't use his Lifeline Beast. She hadn't seen someone fighting against corrupted beasts without the help of their lifeline beast.

Squeak!

The Salamander makes a threatening sound. It's tongue appears outside.

Jeremy continues to walk closer. He was waiting for the right opportunity to swing his katana. Under his eye ability, the lizard body was transparent.

His target was those blood vessels.

Swoosh!

The Ground Lizard leaps forward to attack. It happens so fast. The font claws are aiming at Jeremy's chest. If Jeremy doesn't evade, the claws will tear his chest apart.

At the same time, Jeremy side steps to avoid the attack. The sharp claws strike the mid air, missing the target.

Slash!

Jeremy swung his katana. The blade in his hand came in contact with the lizard's neck. The next second, the blade went inside smoothly before coming in contact with the blood vessels.

Puchak!

The blood vessels were severed. The torrent of blood gushes forth from the next moment.

Tud!

The Ground Lizard collapses on the ground. The main blood vessels were severed. It lost its mobility and balance.

Cut!

Jeremy then withdrew the blade before raising it again to attack. The blade went inside the remaining part completely before serving its head.

Tud!

The huge ground lizard rolls over the ground. The whole killing was done within minutes. There was no waste of time.

Jeremy didn't use his new blade technique as well. He thinks if he uses a new blade technique the lizard would be killed in one move.

But he doesn't want to expose his cards in front of others. He then sheathed his katana blade.

Jeremy then turned around and looked at the three. Senior Charles was left speechless. The scene he wanted to witness didn't happen.

Instead he saw something which shook him to the core. Then he began to recall the words of his team members.

Those who had witnessed newcomers' killing of Tier-4 Hybrid Corrupted beasts found it unbelievable.

Now he thinks that their words were not exaggerating at all. The newcomer does have strength to fight across ranks.

He then suppressed his shock and began walking towards Jeremy Night.

Ada and Sinag looked at each other before starting walking. Sinag wasn't surprised much. Because she had seen him killing Tier-4 hybrid beasts before.

Ada is feeling unreal. She feels as if it's a replay of the Tier-4 Hybrid Beast kill. It was over before she could realise. It happened like that day.

What more? She didn't see him using the Lifeline beast at all. Now she understood why? Because it was not needed in the first place.

Jeremy Night alone can take care of it. But she was curious to know what he would do? If he encounters horde of corrupted beasts.

Jeremy saw the shock and surprise in everyone's eyes.

Charles walks up to him. He looks at him from top to bottom.

"You did good. Let's continue with our journey," Charles said before walking forward.

He didn't show any aggression or other things. Sinag was surprised. But she still feels uneasy. Senior Charles could do something worse.

So she has decided to keep an eye on him.

Ada smiled at Jeremy Night. She was impressed with this junior.

Jeremy smiled in response to her. Then he saw worry in Sinag's eyes. He can guess what she is worried about.

"Don't worry," Jeremy said to her.

Sinag understood and nodded her head. Then the trio started following Charles who was fuming in his heart.

"Damn," He said in his heart.

A realization began to hit him. He thinks that it's impossible to make things difficult for Jeremy Night. Most importantly, he can't cross the line.

He knew that kid was specially recruited by Leader Gisela. If he does something bad to the kid, then he could face serious consequences.

Besides, those two girls had already seen him acting against that kid. For a second, he gave it a thought before deciding to stop it.

He has decided not to make things difficult for him. But if there is a situation, the decision could vary. For example, when encountering Tier-5 Corrupted beasts and above.

He won't be stupid enough to risk his life. A cold glint appeared in his eyes. Others don't know what's on his mind right.

On the other hand, Jeremy is chatting with others.

"What do you think happened to the Sand Bloom Team?" Sinag asked.

Hearing that Jeremy raised his eyebrows.

"We still don't know their mission details. What were they doing in the inner part of the wilderness in the first place?" He replied.

"Yes, the leader didn't say anything about it," Sinag said.

"Let's just do a simple rescue mission," She added.

Ada is listening to their conversation. At the same time, she is also keeping an eye on the surroundings.

Jeremy then began to use his eye ability as well. There were no other Beast Tamers and Corrupted Beast around them.

But he thinks it would change if they go closer towards the inner part of the wilderness. They could possibly come across the Tier-5 Corrupted beasts and above.

He didn't trust the person named Charles. He could do something again. So he is going to watch his own back like always.
