Strongest Demigod System

Chapter 87: Unexpected Visitor

That day, Azrael got home when the sun had already gone down, as always.

It was nearly eight at night, and Azrael gave a toothy greeting and a short hug to the frowning Matron as he entered the dorm.

The Matron had been telling Azrael to come back earlier for weeks now because of the 'Black Mask' killer that was on the loose, but he never listened!

Azrael apologized in a rush and promised to come back earlier the next day before he started to head to his room.

Azrael changed out of his uniform and lounged on the bed in his boxers and a long-sleeved t-shirt.

When they were leaving the school after their workout today, Azrael told Maddison to give him any information she could get about Harold Sabastine's mansion since she had been there before. Things like the structure of his mansion or if he uses any artifacts for defense would be good.

According to Maddison, there were a few artifacts protecting the mansion from unauthorized entry, but inside the mansion was a large central hall with doors and stairs leading to various parts. It would be impossible to pin down a single room as the most important one in the mansion since she hadn't gone into the inner rooms before.

Azrael was disappointed by this, but Maddison promised she would ask her brother about the mansion and see what she could get from him. Azrael just told her to be careful not to arouse suspicion.

Azrael lay down on the bed to finish his homework on his tablet when he heard his name being called by one of the boys.

"Boss! BOSS!"

Azrael frowned in irritation as the boy slid into the room with wide eyes and heavy breaths. The boy looked like he had just seen a ghost!

"What is it?"

Azrael asked as a small amount of worry began to seep into his heart, and the boy pointed out to the main hall with a shout!

"Your girlfriend is here!"

Azrael blinked in surprise. His what?

After Azrael's short period of emotional turmoil the previous Sunday, Thomas had spread the news around to all the other boys that Azrael was depressed because his girlfriend dumped him.

Thomas smugly told the boys that Azrael came to him crying about how his girlfriend didn't want to be with him anymore, and Thomas had given Azrael advice on how to move on.

The boys all started to think that Thomas was some sort of relationship guru because of this lie, and Thomas told the boys not to mention anything about this to Azrael because Thomas knew just how badly he would be beaten if Azrael found out.

So when this boy saw a girl outside asking about Azrael, he immediately assumed that it was the same girlfriend that Thomas had been speaking about.

Azrael got off the bed and quickly started to ask questions while throwing on trousers.

"What's her name?"

The boy shook his head and said he didn't know.

"Then what does she look like, dammit!"

The boy quickly described what he remembered.

"She's pretty! Like model-level pretty! She had black hair and her eyes were like really purple! And her boobs were huge—!"

"Alright, alright, that's enough."

Azrael sighed tiredly as he started to walk out of the room. He now had an idea of who it was that came to see him, and he could only wonder what the hell she wanted.

Azrael appeared in the main hall of the dorm, and he saw that most of the children were staring at the girl talking to the Matron with wide-eyed awe. They looked like they had never seen a beautiful girl in their lives. Once Azrael appeared, they all turned to him, and Thomas gave Azrael a double thumbs-up from where he was sitting with a wide shit-eating grin on his face.

Azrael put on his most innocent face and headed toward Cleopatra.

"Oh, Azrael, there you are. You took too long to come, so I was just having a talk with dear Cleopatra here. You never told me you had such a beautiful friend. She is absolutely breathtaking."

The Matron seemed to have already fallen in love with Cleopatra with the way she spoke about her, and Cleopatra just smiled kindly as she gave Azrael a look before speaking.

"Don't blame Azrael. We just became friends a short while ago, so I'm sure he didn't have time to tell you about it. Isn't that right, Azrael?"

Azrael smiled.

"What are you doing here, Cleopatra?"

Cleopatra's grin couldn't get any wider.

"Well, there's a party tomorrow, isn't there? I thought it'd be bad if my date showed up without the proper attire, so I'm here to take you shopping."

"OOOOHHH~!"

The children in the hall all released a teasing sound in unison, and one of them even began to clap.

Azrael swore that he was going to beat the shit out of Thomas later.

Azrael really didn't like what was happening here, and so he told the Matron to please excuse them before he started to walk out of the hall. Cleopatra gave the Matron a kind smile, and the Matron hugged her happily while whispering that she should take care of Azrael before allowing both of them to leave.

Once they were outside and away from the eyes of the others, Azrael turned to Cleopatra with a frown.

"What in the world is the meaning of this? So you're just showing up at my dorm now without letting me know?"

Cleo stepped closer to him.

"I already told you, didn't I? I wish to court you. And in order to do that, I need to know as much about you as possible. I think this is a good way for us to get to know each other. Let's go on a date."

Azrael calmed himself.

Cleopatra's incessant forcefulness aside, this was still not a bad situation. Azrael wanted to know more about Cleopatra as well, and since she was also going to be getting him something to wear to the party tomorrow, then he didn't really have to argue, did he?

"Okay, I'll go with you. But I need you to keep one thing in mind. I have a girlfriend, and I am not going to leave her side just because you want to drag me around. Maddison is my date to the party, not you."

Cleopatra laughed at Azrael's words, but then her smile dimmed when she saw the hard resolution in his eyes.

Azrael was not going to budge on this for anything.

After making Maddison come to the party with him, it would be a horrible thing for him to abandon her and go with Cleopatra. That was not the sort of person Azrael was.

Cleopatra finally shook her head and turned to start walking toward a car parked on the other side of the street.

"Very well, I won't push you. Perhaps after tonight, you'll change your mind yourself and come with me instead. After all, the night is still young."

A butler came to the side of the car and opened it for both of them when they approached. Cleopatra thanked the man and then told him to take them to the airport.

Azrael turned to Cleopatra in shock, and Cleopatra smiled.
