It was finally time to get back to Mage'Earth. Mike's face brightened at this prospect, and his body began crumbling in little purple blocks, and away from the purple dimension.

Immediately, he was back at Mage'Earth, and his smile immediately died.

"What the?" Mikey blurted, seeing the red skies of Mage'Earth, and the thick puffy air he breathed. The trees appeared dead, their leaves didn't rattle. There was a strange stillness to the atmosphere, it was strange.

"What has happened?" Mikey questioned himself, turning his head back and forth, searching for clues.

There were no animals in sight.

"Perhaps, I should simply teleport to the Lyma capital."

He looked up his stats.

"The lock feature has been uplifted. The system seems all good now, but what the hell was that about, and what the hell is going on now?!"

He heard a ruffle of leaves from behind him, and he immediately activated <immersion>. He could sense all that was around him with this move, and with it, he was able to tell what was behind him, and had made that noise.

"What?!" He sensed intense bloodlust, and from multiple sources.

"This is?!" He turned, seeing the sources of the bloodlust he felt directed at him.

"Such disgusting creatures of malice."

[Demons]

Hordes of them slowly marched to Mikey, it was like they could sense his presence.

The demons were all red, many with varying builds, from large and hunch backed, to tall and lithe, short and bulky.

However, a common feature amongst them was that–they all wielded weapons for battle–from clubs, to swords, and spears.

They all calmly walked to Mikey, and all of a sudden, began rushing at him.

"Hmm, I'll fight you guys simply for the experience points. I need to get to the Lyma region as soon as possible."

The demons made their frenzied battle cry as they ran to their foe.

Mike surged up the energy within him, levitating, there was no need for grand flight in this scenario.

"Yes, just come." He said, and when the army of demons was where he wanted them, he threw forward his right arm, holding open his hand, and from it, burst a giant blast of energy that zoomed at his new enemies.

The energy blast was so massive that it encapsulated all of the demons, burning them all in a single blow. The blast singed the earth, and evaporated all that it touched.

Next came the notifications, but none about leveling up.

"Worthless creatures." Soon as Mikey uttered the words, he noticed a disturbance. At the sky, a strange black wave tore through the sky, opening it, and then disappeared.

Immediately after, the ground shook violently, and the ground Mikey had stood on a few minutes ago crumbled and caved in. Trees fell, the earth split apart. The scene was apocalyptic, and Mikey feared for those in Lyma region, to him, they were all that mattered, and of course, Lucy Fer.

There was another quake once again, but this time, it wasn't just the ground; it was like all of Mage'Earth shook and Mikey heard a loud continuous boom.

He turned frantically, still enveloped by energy, looking for the source to these great uproar.

Whatever it was, it scared him greatly, and he decided that it was time to leave for Mage'Earth.

"Grand Teleportation: Lyma region." He said those words to help him visualize the place better so as to increase the accuracy of his teleportation.

His object of vision changed from destroyed wilderness to walls, and a standing civilization. Mikey, still adrift above, turned to see that the rumble had reached the Lyma region, and the damage it received was just as much as where he had just left, but what about the people, what about what was beyond the walls?

The boom and crashing sound still ensued, but that was out his control now, and he zoomed to the guards.

They still recognized him despite the bright field of energy around him.

"Lord Luke, welcome." The head of the guards welcomed Mikey.

"I hope all has been well since my absence?"

The guard paused for about a minute, and then spoke. It was like he tried to choose his words carefully.

"Some disasters have been out of our control, but we, the duke, and the residents of the Lyma capital are doing our best to keep calm and sustain ourselves."

Mike nodded, and was about to teleport to the other side of the wall when the guards' head spoke some more.

"Though, we have had an unpleasant development. One that is not too bad, do not worry, you will see yourself."

'Worry myself? Does he know who is talking to? Okay, maybe I'm actually worried.

Mikey simply nodded, and teleported to the other side of the wall.

What he met surprised him.
