Chapter 300: Gods Vs Dragon Lords
Iysa hovered, glaring at the bold and empowered dragon lords, their heads held up high, and haughty, and above them was a fireball that would destroy the city should it hit.
"Iysa." Reinarlaxes muttered, afraid.
The dragon lords hurled the giant ball of fire and Iysa readied himself to stop it. The ball came forward quite slowly, giving Iysa plenty of time to react.
He arched forward and his white lower back budged, like the instance of an imago trying to break off from its pupae case. His pristine skin tore open, and out came rigid appendages, looking like arms, but a lot flexible and thinner.
The tips of the arms pulled in speckles of energy from the surrounding, and they all gathered at the tips, enlarging and swelling into white balls of energy.
Iysa arched further forward, and had the energy balls stream forward, coming at the fireball.
An energy shield was over the city, but it was doubtful if it could hold out against the fireball that came.
To avoid taking chances, Iysa would have to stop the ball right before it struck the shield, the might of five dragon lords against that of the god of light.
The jets of white energy struck the fireball, spreading it across it in an attempt to over power it. At first, it seemed that the white jets of energy would prevail against the fireball sooner or later as it spread across the fireball, but then, its reach on the fireball began shrinking.
The ball of incredibly hot flames continued towing on, slowly but evidently winning out against the streams of light Iysa responded with.
That wasn't all that Iysa had however, and what god would fail to protect his people? Definitely not him. He struck out all of his arms and sent blasts of energy, adding to the two. The fireball stopped in its path, and began retracting to the dragon lords.
The dragon lords were shaken by this and chose to respond in kind, holding out their hands and increasing their control over the ball of fire.
A violent pressure erupted from the collision, tearing through the air, causing uproars in the sea, and powerfully violent gusts of winds.
The display of power was in a realm the natives of Mage'Earth couldn't hope to reach. The inhabitants of the Eastern Theocracy watched in awe as their god fought to save them against the dragon lords. The energy shield over the city protected the residents and the buildings against the violent winds and the tsunami that came at them. The uproars struck violently against the shield, but every time, it was neutralized.
The citizens roared in cheers, others prayed and offered sacrifices, and the rest simply watched the awe-inspiring battle.
The battle seemed to be at a standstill, the fireball stuck in position even as the dragon lords supplied it with even more power. Iysa as well, straining his face as he gave his all.
The most unexpected thing happened next. The points of contact between the attacks burst out momentarily, and then sucked back in, pulling in the fireball and the streams of energy that came from Iysa.
A vibrating black hole the size of a fist was responsible for this, gradually siphoning the surplus energies, and once it took it all in, it began shaking violently, almost as if it struggled to contain all the energy it had just swallowed.
Iysa turned to the city, and then back to the dragon lords and the unstable black hole between them. Iysa swiftly zoomed to the city, just overhead the shield and placed his hands over a little area. The shield wouldn't hold against what was about to come, that he knew.
He turned back again, and saw that the dragon lords were retreating into a portal.
The black hole continued its violent shake and then it glowed, light escaping from it. The energies it held refused to be contained within it, and they burst out after violently thrashing within it.
Bright white light stretched through the land, illuminating everything over thousands of kilometers, and then came the streaks of light that broke apart. They fell like rain on everything.
A streak struck the sea, and created a large hole inside of it, causing walls of the sea to rise.
They struck the land heavy and hard causing violent quakes and burning up everything in a flash. Multitudes struck the shield, causing circular ripple effects across it. The shield held on, the streaks of light hitting unrelenting, sending vibrations across the shield which caused it to stretch and sink, scaring the residents.
Iysa as well had an energy shield over himself which protected him against those that struck him.
This phenomenon occurred for about an hour, incessant until it suddenly stopped.
Iysa remained in his position for about fifteen minutes before turning to see that all was clear. Though the land suffered great burns and parts of the sea had dried up, the people remained unfazed.
Priestess Reinarlaxes' eyes gleamed lovingly as she watched her heroic god of a partner protect them, and she burst into tears after the danger had passed.
Iysa slowly drifted through the shield and approached the city.
He was slightly overhead the tall buildings when he raised an arm, thrusting it in the air and declaring victory. The people roared to this gesture in elation. They had survived the force that swallowed The Western Republic, and The Northern Kingdom.
The white alien god slowly zoomed to his wife, and landed by her. He raised her head, holding up her chin, and then, he planted a kiss on her lips.
"I doubt the dragon lords will come back soon over the damages they received. Tell your friends across the sea to ready themselves. It seems like we would have to take the fight to them, to avoid a rehash of what just happened."
Priestess Reinarlaxes Tuymulamabib Geignes simply nodded.
"However, just in the consideration of our possible loss, let us consummate our union. Let's throw a feast for the people, it will raise their hopes."
"You mean a wedding party?" Reinarlaxes questioned, her face red and flustered.
"Yes my love, let's get married."
