Chapter 9: The Wrinkled one.
While he attained a flow, soon the classroom was filled with students.
The teacher enters the class, breaking his concentration, but leaves him in a bit of a thrill, because now he can really learn all these.
This was an old man in his 60s, maybe near to his retirement, but the pride on his face was determined as something he had achieved through years of devotion towards his subject of interest and that's what he'll be teaching here. To develop that sort of love and compassion in these bright mind sitting in the classroom of Xavier's.
He introduced himself as a Ph.D holder in the field of Physics from the University of Manchester, England, but was underemployed as a high school teacher. He was Mr. Venkath Raman Swaminathan
As he speaks, his mustache, which was mainly of thick white hairs, moves up and down vertically, and the cheeks are uplifted, turning crimson. The wrinkles on his forehead arrange themselves in different patterns as per the words he speaks. Pretty animatedly his appearance changes with respect to his tonality.
Ashvini couldn't help but fall under his spell of charm instantly,
And as the teacher began with the attendance, he was trying to observe the people who were his classmates,
Then suddenly, he hears ' Subhash Bakshi'
He turned to the left and was surprised to find that Subhash was sitting next to him.
'So, we will begin with simple maths before we enter the world of some real physics!' said Mr. Swaninathan
To which the whole class reacted as if they had some horrible past experience recoil in front of their eyes.
So-called simple maths of Mr. Swaminathan was like this -
He started with the basic algebra and all the way to complex trigonometry, even though he was going to start the logarithm but look at those poor faces of the students, he blessed them with some mercy without going through the logs in his first class onwards.
He ends the class there ten minutes before,
As he left, the class took a breath of life,
'Wow!, Why does this seem something totally out of place?' Subhash speaks up.
'It was totally unexpected, to even think about learning this level of maths after taking biology as a major subject.' Ashvini replied.
'We got two more of that kind!, the chemistry & Biology' said Palki from the right of Ashvini,
'You got frightened ? Tall boy!?' she added with a bit sarcastic tone,
Which caught Subhash's attention,
'Who's she? Ashvini?'
'She's Palki,' he replied with his eyes away.
'Oh!, She was also there on the list,' Subhash said in a low-pitched voice
'OHH!, so you mean her father would be a member of society too?'
'Yes, Ashvini!!'
Unexpectedly, Subhash directly confronted Palki
' Is your father holding a high power position in the crown's reign?'
'Yes!, he's P.S. of Mr. Gajanand Ghosh' with a glamorous pride on her face, as if she's warning him to stay away from her matters, she replied to Subhash
'Who's he?' Ashvini asked Subhash, who was just frozen there with a pale face.
'He..he .. is the council member of Durgapur!!' Subhash replied as if he had heard some kind of horror story.
'Of my city!,' he added.
