With a steadier mind and determination to finish his mission, Hikaru pressed forward.

The system's notification made Hikaru pause for a moment. His opponent had truly been powerful.

"Light Magic really is strong… Without it, I don't know if I could have won that fight."

The previous battle had been intense, but the feeling growing inside him wasn't just relief—it was urgency. He needed to get stronger.

Fueled by that thought, Hikaru resumed his hunt for Stray Devils. Moving through the city's alleys and darkest corners, he arrived at an abandoned warehouse.

"This place reeks of danger."

The heavy atmosphere made it clear—something sinister lurked inside.

"It's not just one presence… There are several!"

Unlike his first battle, he would now face multiple enemies at once.

"Even combined, their energy doesn't feel as overwhelming as the first Stray Devil."

Assessing the situation carefully, Hikaru saw an opportunity.

"There's no need to announce myself or explain my actions. The best way to deal with enemies… is a surprise attack."

With that in mind, he slipped into the warehouse and hid behind a pillar.

From his hiding spot, he observed the three Stray Devils chatting amongst themselves. Unlike the first one, these had humanoid forms… yet they were still grotesque.

But what truly fueled Hikaru's rage were their words.

🗣 "We should grab another human today!"

🗣 "Yes! I love their terrified screams!"

🗣 "And their flesh tastes so good!"

Disgust and anger surged within him. These creatures had to be eliminated.

Whispering under his breath, Hikaru cast:

✨ "Light Spear."

The chilling sound of his words was followed by a barrage of golden spears, piercing through the Stray Devils before they even knew what was happening.

"Just to be sure…"

🔹 "Light Spear!"

Another wave of luminous spears rained down, completely obliterating the enemies.

The warehouse fell into silence. No remains of the Stray Devils were left, only faint golden embers flickering in the air—residual traces of his Light Magic.

Taking a deep breath, Hikaru allowed himself a moment to process the scene.

"This wasn't just for me… It was for everyone else, too."

Without regret, he turned around and began his journey home.

Hikaru's eyes widened in surprise.

More excited than usual, he celebrated his new skills. Inventory and Analyze—two of the most iconic and essential abilities in fantasy stories.

"With these two, many problems will be solved much more easily!"

Satisfied with his progress, Hikaru made his way home.

Once he arrived, he made a decision.

"That's enough for today. Let's call it a night."

His first day at school, his first friend, Devils, Stray Devils… Too much had happened. He needed rest.

After a long, relaxing bath, Hikaru collapsed onto his bed and fell into a deep sleep.

Little did he know… tomorrow would bring even more challenges.
