Leng Yue followed with a polite, "Hi, I'm Leng Yue," also shaking hands.

As for Lei Tian? Leng Yue simply gave him a courteous nod. That was plenty.

"Awesome! Wanna grab dinner together? How about Beijing Roast Duck? We're older than you guys, so it's on us!"

Lei Yu beamed with excitement at their acceptance. Chen Xiaoxiao and Leng Yue exchanged glances and nodded.

"Okay. Thanks!" Chen Xiaoxiao agreed cheerfully.

Leng Yue sent a message to her parents, letting them know she wouldn't be home for dinner.

"Yay! Let's go!" Lei Yu clapped her hands.

"I'll catch up just need to stop by the Pokémon Center," said Lei Tian. "Ray Pokémon still hasn't fully recovered."

"Need a hand? Come out, Gardevoir," Chen Xiaoxiao said calmly, having already anticipated the situation.

"Gardevoir? Perfect! Come on out, Ray Pokémon please take care of him."

Lei Tian gently released his unconscious Electivire. Chen Xiaoxiao's Gardevoir stepped forward, graceful and calm.

"Gardevoir, use Heal Pulse on Ray Pokémon."

A soothing wave of energy emitted from Gardevoir's hands. The deep bruises and unconsciousness began to fade as Electivire stirred and slowly opened its eyes.

"Ray Pokémon, you're okay! Thank you so much, Chen Xiaoxiao and Gardevoir!"

Lei Tian embraced his Pokémon with genuine relief.

"Wow! Flash-color Gardevoir! So beautiful! I want one too!" Lei Yu gushed, admiring the rare Shiny Gardevoir's shimmering form.

"You wish!"

With Ray Pokémon stabilized, Lei Tian's mood lightened, and he joined in the banter.

"THUNDER SKY!"

Lei Yu shouted, glaring at her older brother for embarrassing her in front of their new friends.

Amid laughter and chatter, the group headed to a famous roast duck restaurant.

"You two are so unfair! Young ladies Elite-tier trainers crashing a mid-level public tournament like this?" Lei Yu said, feigning indignation.

From the battle, Lei Tian and Lei Yu had already deduced the duo's identities, and had them confirmed over dinner.

Chen Xiaoxiao and Leng Yue freely admitted it. Both were handpicked students of national prestige Leng Yue from Beijing University's Psychic program, and Chen Xiaoxiao, the mysterious powerhouse from Shencheng with a rumored history stretching ten years.

In return, the Lei siblings revealed their own prestigious lineage.

The Lei family hailed from Beihu Province's Yangtze River region.

The synchronized reaction from the Lei siblings drew laughter from the table.

Despite being two years older and having already journeyed as full-time trainers, Lei Tian and Lei Yu were overwhelmed by two sixteen-year-old newcomers who had only recently taken their licensing exams.

"By the way, Lei Yu—you specialize in Electric-types, right? So… why evolve Eevee into a Flareon?"

Chen Xiaoxiao asked with a smirk.

Lei Yu's cheeks turned pink.

"There's a story behind that…" she mumbled.

Seeing her embarrassment, Lei Tian grinned devilishly.

"Great question! Here's the full story: One winter, it was snowing hard and freezing cold. Lei Yu was shivering in her room. So what did she do? She snuck into our dad's vault, pulled out a Fire Stone from his storage bracelet, and evolved her Eevee into Flareon! Not for strategy—just for warmth!"

Lei Tian burst out laughing, ignoring his sister's increasingly dark expression.

"When Dad found out the next day, he scolded her for an hour straight! Hahaha!"

"LEI TIAN, YOU!!"

Lei Yu shrieked, ready to roast her brother alive with words—if not with her Flareon.

The table erupted with laughter once more.

Even Chen Xiaoxiao, who usually kept her emotions guarded, couldn't help but chuckle at the absurdity.

In that joyous chaos of roast duck, flashing memories, rivalries, and budding friendships, a new journey was quietly beginning—not one marked by battle or strength, but by bonds formed in shared stories, pride, and passion.
