Chapter 4: The AI Assistant
After checking the blueprint, the MC decided to explore more of the shelter. His next destination was the dining area. As soon as he stepped in, he was greeted by a chaotic mess—broken chairs, dusty tables, and debris scattered everywhere. It looked like no one had cleaned the place for years.
Shaking his head, he moved toward the kitchen, But the moment he entered, his eyes widened in disbelief.
Unlike the dilapidated dining area, the kitchen was incredibly advanced—stainless steel counters, automated cooking stations, It felt like he had stepped into the future.
"This is insane… How did such tech even exist in a place like this?" he muttered, looking around in awe.
At first, he struggled to understand the controls, but suddenly, memories began flooding his mind—the memories of the previous owner of this body.
The knowledge of how to operate the kitchen's machinery became second nature to him. With that, he managed to prepare a simple meal.
Sitting at the counter, he took his first bite. The taste wasn't bad, but his stomach, which had been empty for too long, welcomed the food like a long-lost friend.
As he ate, a soft, melodic voice suddenly echoed through the room.
"Good morning, Master."
He almost choked on his food. Turning around, his eyes widened in shock as a holographic figure of a stunning woman materialized in front of him.
She had long purple hair, glowing crimson eyes, and was dressed in a futuristic, sleek bodysuit with visible cybernetic enhancements. Her presence radiated intelligence and elegance.
"M-Master? Who are you?" he asked, blinking in confusion.
The AI tilted her head slightly and gave a polite smile. "Humans call me Trixie, an advanced AI assigned to assist the admin of this shelter. That would be you, Master."
He leaned back, absorbing this new information. "Ohh… an advanced AI, huh? So you're like my assistant?"
Trixie nodded. "Correct. My purpose is to guide and support the admin in managing the shelter efficiently."
Curious, he waved his hand through her figure, expecting it to pass through like a normal hologram, but instead, his hand met slight resistance, as if she had a physical presence.
"Wait, I can touch you?" he asked in surprise.
Trixie smirked. "I am not an ordinary hologram. I am an advanced AI with a projected solid-state form. My design allows me to interact physically when necessary."
He let out a low whistle. "Man, this place just keeps surprising me. Alright, let me finish my meal first, and then we can talk about what's next."
Trixie nodded. "Understood. I will stand by until you are ready."
As he continued eating, his mind raced with thoughts. A high-tech AI assistant? An abandoned but advanced shelter? A body that wasn't his?
His life had just taken a turn into something out of a sci-fi movie, and he had no choice but to roll with it.
One thing was clear—this was just the beginning.
