Twilight - Dimensional Traveler

Chapter 11: New Student

It was Monday, and Mark took his Mustang and headed to school.

After exchanging a few words with his friends, he went straight to the classroom.

"Hey, you're Mark, right?"

Mark heard someone call him. When he turned around, he realized it was Bella.

"Hi, good morning, Bella," Mark replied with a smile.

Noticing that he was friendly, Bella walked closer.

"I want to ask you something," Bella said.

Mark raised his eyebrows and gestured for her to continue.

"That day, you told me that Edward… you know… that my scent is good for him?" Bella asked.

Looking at Bella's face, Mark couldn't help but sigh. It seemed the girl hadn't been sleeping well because of Edward.

"Yes, I said that..." Mark answered, then paused.

"Bella, I think it's better to ask the person himself—ask Edward directly," Mark said, gesturing toward him.

Bella turned and noticed Edward looking at her. When she saw him, her heart raced.

Edward, who had just entered, overheard Bella and Mark's conversation, which made him stop at the door.

He wondered if Mark knew what they really were.

But after seeing Bella looking at him, Edward stepped forward and sat in his seat next to her.

"Hello, you're Bella, right?" Edward tried to start a conversation.

Bella noticed that Edward had spoken to her, but she didn't know how to respond. Her expression was like a girl feeling wronged by her boyfriend.

At the back of the room, Mark nearly felt like leaving. Both Bella and Edward noticed and looked at him.

Mark noticed their glances and said with a smile, "You two can continue your dating—just pretend I'm not here."

He opened a book and pretended to be distracted with reading. Bella, hearing his comment, became embarrassed.

Edward simply ignored him and kept trying to talk with Bella.

Soon, several students arrived, and the teacher entered with a very beautiful girl.

When Mark noticed her, he was confused for a moment—his eyes didn't leave her.

"All right, everyone seated. Let's begin class," said the teacher, then turned to the girl who had come with him.

"You can sit with Mark," the teacher pointed to the empty seat.

As Edythe entered, her eyes fell on Mark, and a smile appeared on her beautiful face.

When they looked at each other, that same feeling from the forest returned. Even though her eyes were now black, her appearance was the same.

And that feeling couldn't lie.

She nodded at the teacher and walked toward Mark without taking her eyes off him.

Edward noticed their gaze—he wondered if Edythe's partner could really be this guy.

Bella looked at them both and thought something was going on between them.

"Hi, my name is Edythe," she introduced herself to Mark.

"Hi, Edythe, I'm Mark," he replied.

After that, both fell silent, looking like shy young people. But from time to time, they exchanged glances.

Which made many students notice.

When the bell rang to end class, the students started gathering their things for the next period.

"What's your next class?" Edythe asked.

"English," Mark replied.

"Really? Mine too. Can you show me the way?" Edythe said with a smile.

Mark, who kept looking at Edythe, thought she was the most beautiful woman he'd seen since arriving in this world.

In the forest, since half her body had been hidden behind the tree, he couldn't see her figure.

Now that he had a good look—her face and form were flawless.

"Of course, this way," Mark gestured for her to follow.

They walked in silence. Everyone who saw them felt envious of the pair. To them, Mark and Edythe were a match made in heaven.

Edward watched quietly as his sister left with the boy, then glanced at Bella, who was still gathering her things.

Outside the classroom, Mark walked ahead while Edythe walked a few inches behind—her eyes fixed on Mark's neck.

Mark, noticing her gaze, thought of something and said, "Do you want to drink my blood?"

He didn't feel the need to hide anything, so he chose to be direct with her. He already knew that he and the vampire named Edythe had a special bond.

Edythe stopped in her tracks and looked startled for a moment. She hadn't expected that kind of question—even though they had met that night.

She'd hoped the other person hadn't recognized her. After all, she had been in the darkest part of the forest, and maybe he'd only seen her eyes in that moment.

------------

Hello everyone, I'm the author. I hope all of you who have been following this novel so far have enjoyed my writing.

Edythe is Mark's bond partner. I still don't know how to develop their relationship, so if you have any opinions about this couple, feel free to leave a comment.

I haven't decided what kind of ability to give Edythe yet, but I'm open to ideas.

About the STATUS panel system: I feel like I made a mistake with that part, so I set it aside. I'll only mention the system occasionally, whenever the MC needs to acquire new things — and that's it.

See you next time...
