Chapter 175 I will kill them myself
Leonor's POV
My mind snapped back to reality with Anthony's words. Shaking off my daze, I gripped the sword tightly and looked at the titan, which continued its attack, focusing solely on Anthony. Each blow carried immense power, but it couldn't penetrate his defense. Though I still felt fear coursing through my bones, I realized that if it weren't for Anthony, I'd already be dead.
Shaking my head to focus, I heard Anthony's shout echo again: "Now!" My aura enveloped my body, changing the color of my eyes. I activated my footwork and quickly nodded to Adelaide. My sword was engulfed in crimson flames.
Moving swiftly, I positioned myself behind the titan, whose tattered clothes billowed in the wind. My sword gleamed brighter, and I landed a blow on its back, but it felt like I was hitting extremely hard metal. My hands tingled a bit, but I gritted my teeth and pressed on. The titan remained focused on Anthony, ignoring my presence.
I realized I wouldn't be able to create a truly notable wound on my own.
"I'll support you! You focus on dealing damage!" I shouted to Anthony. He simply approached while keeping his gaze fixed on the titan. I intensified the flames around my body, and the mist began to boil. My hair turned red, and flames surged from it. A pair of wings emerged from my back, their feathers coated in red flames.
They stretched to a length of 5 meters. Continue your journey with My Virtual Library Empire
"Eleanor activates her bloodline, Phoenix!"
Her wings began to flutter, and the titan's hollow eyes finally stopped seeing Anthony. "Let's go!" he shouted. The darkness around grew even denser. The titan vanished from sight again. Eleanor felt a chill run down her spine. Her gaze shifted behind her: the titan was poised to cleave her in half.
Eleanor covered herself with her wings, but before the attack could reach her, Adelaide summoned her courage. A large green ball formed in her hands. Waving her arms, she hurled it directly at the titan.
"BOOM!"
Anthony didn't miss this opportunity. He activated his shadow step, and flames began to glow, appearing in front of Eleanor as he covered her with his aura. The titan didn't flinch at the acid covering its body, and its sword glowed with a dark light, activating its mana. From the ground, enormous tentacles became tangible, and with a mental command, they wrapped around the titan's limbs.
They tensed and tried to immobilize it. The titan roared as it thrashed wildly. Anthony's eyes gleamed, his sword in his right hand slicing through the air, carrying with it a dark wave.
"BOOM!"
The titan's body was launched into the air, and Anthony wasted no time in securing it. Meanwhile, Eleanor flapped her wings, flying at maximum speed. Red orbs formed in her hands, and her eyes never left the titan. The huge titan's body crashed to the ground, raising another dust cloud. Eleanor moved her hands, and the small orbs flew toward their target.
"BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!"
ROAAAAAAR! The titan's huge body went berserk, flames engulfing its entire form, its plasma sword struck the ground, the entire area began to tremble. "Quick, it's about to invoke its domain expansion!" Anthony's shout rang out from the darkness around. Below the ground, the moss turned into a dark mantle, flames fluttered, traveling towards the titan's body.
Eleanor opened her eyes with fear, she had never faced a creature that possessed domain expansion before.
Atenea Schwarzkopf's POV
Atenea and Cristal were in the command center, surrounded by other professors from different classes and administrators jotting down crucial information on their devices. "So far, only 3 of the 15 hidden titans have been encountered," said Cristal as she watched several screens simultaneously.
Atenea, with her eyes shining intensely, was focused on the group led by one of her favorite, albeit peculiar in romantic matters, students. "How beautiful is her Phoenix lineage!" exclaimed Atenea excitedly, her golden eyes fixed on Eleonor, who was the first to activate her bloodline.
Anthony's group was one of the first to face a titan, and Atenea observed every detail of their performance in battle with great interest.
"The titan classified as 'Death,' huh? Not bad, it seems very strong," commented Cristal. All the titans in the dimension actually existed, but they were captured by Atenea a week ago. She brought them all alive and the team of mages performed a similar procedure with the students, ensuring that all those creatures were in separate rooms.
"The flames emanating from Anthony's aura are also very beautiful!" Cristal added. Atenea nodded in satisfaction. The first thing she noticed was that the moment they entered, Anthony was the only one who realized the titan's surprise attack. If it weren't for him, his two companions would have died. She watched attentively the screen displaying the battle development.
At the precise moment when the titan was about to unleash its domain expansion, Anthony once again demonstrated his keenness by being the first to notice. This fact surprised even Atenea, whose ability to identify when a creature activated its domain was impressive in itself. Only those who had already witnessed such an event could recognize it with certainty.
The darkness surrounding Anthony stirred frantically as he desperately tried to stop the process, but unfortunately, his efforts were futile. When the ground gave way beneath the titan's blade, the environment began to transform rapidly. The titan's empty eyes glowed with a purple gleam, signaling the start of a new and dangerous chapter.
"Now the fun begins!" exclaimed Atenea excitedly, adding in a casual tone: "Someone bring me a bottle of beer!" Atenea's jubilant laughter filled the air, but it was interrupted by Cristal's judgmental gaze. "You know that thing can kill your students," Cristal pointed out seriously, expressing her concern. Atenea's smile faded momentarily as she reflected on her friend's words.
"If those kids die to something that weak, I'll be the one to kill them myself," Atenea responded with a sweet smile. Cristal felt a shiver run down her spine as she prayed to the gods for the safety of the young people entrusted to her care.
